So LO has consistently been going down at 6:30pm, waking between 4-4:30am to eat, and then going back down until 6:30am for a few weeks now. Sometimes she doesn't fall back asleep nursing at that 4am session, but she would always just go back to sleep within a few seconds once i laid her down in her crib.
However, the last few days after her 4am feed, she is wide awake and playing in her crib. Not crying, not fussing, just cooing, squealing, trying to roll over, playing with her lovey, etc. while it is pretty cute and entertaining to watch on the monitor, i don't want her to be overtired and I can't really sleep hearing her playing, so I have just been going back in an trying to get her to sleep again by nursing or rocking.
Is this normal behavior for a 5 month old? I'm just wondering why she is starting to do this. I do NOT want our wake up time to be 4am! lol Do you think she is over the early bedtime and maybe we should try to put her to bed later? Would you just let your LO continue to play and not go in?
