@MrsTiz: They passed something along the lines that said doesn't matter if next in line is a male or female...first born inherits the throne. Before, it was about males, unless there was only a girl (as in the Queen's case).

@Dandelion: This is exactly why my mom and I also think girl. The passing of that law is too coincidental with the timing of her pregnancy....why would it matter now unless it was a girl?

When I was in London recently, one of our tour guides said that in some public setting, a child gave Kate a gift for the baby and she responded with something like, "oh, this will be perfect for our d-... baby." So everyone is now assuming girl.

I totally thought girl too!!
Prob because she was so sick and I think that wives tale is more accurate - but not this time!
