I really liked the Ktan for newborn days. She was so snuggly in there. We transitioned to the Ergo (without infant insert) at 5-6 months. We tried with the insert but didn't love it.

I got a sakura bloom ring sling from a local listserv that I'm hoping to use with LO #2. I'm due today so when baby shows up I'll let you know. I didn't like the ergo with a newborn because it was summer and way way way too hot. Same with Moby.

We used the K'tan for the first time on the day we brought DD home from the hospital. We loved it till she was about five months. I have a Beco Gemini as well, but I plan to use the K'tan again in the newborn days

I got a lovey dud off etsy and loveeeee it! Organic cotton so more breathable than moby or Ktan.

I do put dd in ergo if I forget wrap with blanket underneath, but like wrap better.

I used the k'tan and boba wrap when LO was a newborn, and then switched to the ergo when she got a little bigger. Have you tried tightening the straps?

i think the ktan or the ergo with insert would work fine, but if you prefer the Gemini (I do!) then maybe it would be worth it to sell the ktan and ergo and see if you can get enough to cover the Gemini! I got mine second hand off craigslist for 50$. it's faded but works perfect

I used the ergo with the insert. You can tighten the strap that you buckle at the top of your back and it doesn't feel like it's falling off your shoulders.
