I've done several chops. I like it eother way. Prefer long but think I may outgrow it in middleage...Well have to see if I can pull it off!

Yes - short hair on me looks hideous! I don't have the right face shape for it.

I'm the opposite. I keep growing out my hair but its too thin to stay long.

I go back and forth. I always grow it out and end up cutting it, usually into a bob. My hair grew so fast when I was pregnant with DS. I regret cutting it so much!

@Beebug: this is me too. Bottom line is my husband prefers it long so I will probably keep it that way as long as I can.

I prefer it long though every once in a while I'll cut it to above the shoulder and then immediately regret it. I'm currently in a growing it out again stage. I had it cut very short, like cropped, when I was 16 and was so miserable afterwards!

I've spent at least half of my life growing my ear-length bobbed hair to my shoulders (with a view to growing it long) then hating how thin and tatty it looks and having it chopped again! Of course, I always immediately regretted having it cut!!!

Then, when DH proposed, I vowed to grow it for the wedding and then I kept on growing it! Now, I actually have long hair and I can't face the prospect of ever cutting it short again..... we'll see.....

I'll probably have short hair when I'm older.. 50? short=shoulder length.

Goodness yes, I look terrible without it! I won't be repeating the mistake I made when I was seven, which has haunted me since, lol.

I think I'll always have at least to upper middle of my back.... But my mil has long hair and honestly, looks jijuhbuhneh.... I think when u get to a certain age, shouldn't be too long.

I like it both ways. I love change and can never keep my hair one way for longer than 6 months

I miss my long hair! It was over half way down my back when I chopped it off. I told DH who was my BF at the time that if he was going to ask me to marry him anytime soon to let me know & I wouldnt chop my hair. He said to cut it and a week later he started talking about a ring! I ended up getting extensions for the wedding. 3 years after I chopped it off it still hasn't grown back. Its grown faster sense Ive been taking prenatals. Ive always heard that the older you get the slower it grows & apparently that is the case with me. I won't cut my hair short again!

The shortest hair I have ever had was shoulder length and that was in high school. I would love to go pixie short but I am not brave enough. My hair has always been quite long and I feel like it is my security blanket now.

I'll always have long enough hair to throw it back into a ponytail because I have no time to style/spend any time on it and I can't stand it in my face for any length of time. And curly hair does not play well with being short.

I have had all sort of hair style, from bob, chin, medium, to long hair length. My DH prefers me with long hair, but I look better in chin length. Currently, my hair is layered from chin to my elbow but I'm thinking of going back to my chin length for easy maintenance.
