We have always hid eggs for our kids for Easter, always inside though since it's not ever that nice out on Easter, it seems. I would love to eventually do an egg hunt in the yard, though! We do a combination of real eggs and plastic eggs. I think this year will be fun since they seem to understand Holidays a little bit better, especially my 3 year old.

I want to hide eggs for him inside. He wasn't walking last year at Easter so although he had fun playing with the eggs, the hunts were not as exciting. I saw an idea on Pinterest to put glow bracelets inside them and I want to try that!

Yeah! Can't wait! He is obsessed with eggs (like the plastic variety - no idea why!) so I want to hide a bunch. He will love it i think. It will probably be too cold to do it outside.

Yup! We always do as well. We have always done inside because it's just been too cold. Now that she's three we'll probably get creative with the hiding spots.

Yes! She had fun doing it last year at 18 months, but she will REALLY enjoy it this year at 2.5

I think we're going to leave an egg trail to his basket... he's 2&3/4 and didn't get Christmas this year so I'm hoping things will start to click! It's his first holiday or special event that will take place after his little sister is born so trying to go all out for him!

We haven't decided. D does an egg hunt at my ILs the day before and gets tons of candy, snacks, and quarters from that. We'll probably just let him (and A, in the future) do that egg hunt and then just put their baskets out for them.

Yes. We'll hide real (hard boiled and dyed) eggs at home, along with her basket. She'll do a plastic/treats inside egg hunt at church, later that morning.

Absolutely! Although I will only hide plastic eggs. Growing up, my parents hid real eggs throughout the house and we'd always not find one. Usually we would find it later that day. However, one year, we didn't and the thing grew rotten and exploded. The smell was awful!

last year I kept smelling something awful in the house and we couldn't figure out what it was - then I found an egg that was cracked and moldy and disgusting - never again!

@Mamaof2: And now I think back to the fact that my parents hid the eggs before they went to bed, we'd find them in the morning and then eat them for breakfast. I mean, obviously it's fine as we never got sick but I just can't. Sounds so wrong.

We won't be hiding eggs. I feel like it would just get too crazy in our house. We'll do an egg trail to his basket though. He loved it last year. I fill the eggs with a few mini m&ms or reese's pieces or something.

Probably not, but we take them to at least 2-3 hunts in local areas, and we go to grandma's for lunch and she always does a hunt. so she gets plenty of opportunity to hunt for eggs
