I read all the Hunger Game books and then watched the first movie. Now that the second movie (Catching Fire) is coming out, I am going back to read Hunger Games and then Catching Fire before seeing the next movie.
I forgot so much stuff in the book. There really are some beautiful points to the story that are only captured in the book!

I didn't read it again but after seeing the movie last night (which was awesome!!!), I opened up the book to re-read some parts.

I definitely will NOT re-read the book before seeing the movie! I'm better off going to the movie with my limited memory of what is supposed to happen so I'm not disappointed.

If anything, I may re-read all the books after seeing all the movies. But I definitely won't re-read prior to watching! I have a friend that did that before seeing all the Harry Potter movies and he was ALWAYS so mad at the movie, whereas I thoroughly enjoyed them because I forgot half of what was in the books!

i started re-reading a few months back. checked my kindle over the wknd and i was at 37%, fell asleep reading it sat night after DS' party!

I saw it on Saturday and did not re-read the book first. I'm glad I didn't, though, because I was able to really enjoy the movie and not pick it apart because of what they left out or changed.

I retread the while series when I saw the previews for catching fire lol. I'll probably read again when previews for mockingjay come out

I reread the series and we're going to see it this weekend. Funnily enough, the second time through, I found Mockingjay more satisfying.

I read the books but never got to watch the first movie. Now with the second movie out, I really need to watch the first so I can catch the 2nd while it's still out in the theaters!

I SHOULD have re-read it - I saw the movie on Friday and I had forgotten so much. It was actually a bit embarrassing how much I had forgotten, but at least I got to be surprised like @andrea:
