we were pretty open about our TTC journey with friends and fam; we also didn't get bombarded with questions or annoying, prodding comments which made it easier on us to be so open.
i'm sure we'll be the same way when we try next year for LO#2.

Probably not. DD was a " surprise " so I'm unsure about how easy/hard it will be for us to have #2 when the time comes
hostess / eggplant / 11068 posts
Probably not. We didn't tell a single soul we were TTC. I doubt I will tell anyone if/when we TTC for future LOs.

I'm not sure! Still undecided about it. Maybe not specifically trying but allude to 'oh soon' or something

I'm generally open about it when people ask when we'll have another. I just say that we've been trying for a while, and leave it at that. If someone is too nosy or rude about it, I'll just tell them that they're welcome to ask my reproductive endocrinologist.

I doubt we'll say anything..... There's a good chance we might have problems (or I'll need acupuncture to regulate cycles before TTC, like we did for A) and I don't need my family - who breed just by making eyes at a guy - to be asking questions : )

Lo was a surprise, I think for the next one it will be kept between dh and myself and possibly my best friend. Oh and my mother will probably know also.

Doubtful. We don't plan to have anymore and if we did, we'd probably keep it between us like we did with LO. It's not anyone's business.

We're TTC and haven't told a soul. We already get some "grandkid" comments from DH's family so we just say "sometime in the near future" so maybe they know what's going on, maybe not.

Nope. They'll hear about it once we get confirmation of a heartbeat, just like with our (admittedly, surprise) first. .
watermelon / 14467 posts
No. I told some friends this time and I got so tired of people asking me if I was pregnant yet.

Nope. I think we were too open about it when we were TTC LO. When we TTC #2, nobody's going to know until the FB announcement. My parents might know before that. We'll have to plan out how to announce to MIL so she doesn't announce it on FB before us-again!

Nope, we didn't tell anyone we were TTC this time, and wont for future children either. I am pretty private about personal things like that, so I just don't think I would be comfortable talking about it, unless maybe we were struggling and I wanted to confide in my mom or something.
nectarine / 2797 posts
I'll probably tell my close girlfriends and maybe my mom and sister.
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
Nope. I only told a couple girlfriends this time. It was more fun to surprise everyone with the news.

I don't really offer information, but I'll tell anyone that we're NTNP if they ask. It's not that big of a deal for me.
papaya / 10473 posts
No, I would feel awkward about it. If someone asked if we were, I would still tell them no even if we were in fact trying again.
