I am curious how many of you did or want to do baby signs with your LO. Why did you or why did you not want to do them? I am looking for pros and cons

I can't think of any cons for basic baby signs. I started when my baby really started using language - a bit before a year. We did nurse, more, all done, eat, and drink. All of those signs she learned well before he started speaking the word. When it came to drinking, she asked for it so often I knew that she hadn't been getting as much water as she needed! Really helpful there.
Now she says the words in general, but she will sign more and all done. I barely put any effort into it - I'd just do the sign when I said the word for a while. She'd get it in a week or two. It was very helpful for her to be able to express needs for food and water.
Now, I don't really get the point of teaching a lot of nouns for kitty doggy whatever. That strikes me as wasted effort, honestly. But for basic need words, I'm a huge fan.
