My pets get a small plate of Thanksgiving goodies every year. It's the one day they get people food. They love it!

Yep! Dogs will have most everything (that doesn't have onions...they're not good for dogs).
Zeus will get some turkey. Other cat doesn't like people food.

Oh goodness no- working veterinary emergencies has resulted in so, so many pancreatitis cases because of too many owners giving their pets holiday treats.
The most my dog gets is an extra dog biscuit and a tablespoon of plain green beans. I'm a mean dog mama. Holidays are a veterinary nightmare- I pretty much shun many traditional holiday items- no poinsettias or lillies in the house (toxic), no tinsel on the tree (foreign bodies), little to no food treats, etc.

I just googled Thanksgiving recipes for my dog and the internet says you should limit what you give your dog. Though, there has been times a piece of roasted chicken has dropped on the floor and my dog gobbled it up. Ehh, my dog was fine. Always in moderation.

I think I can save some boneless and skinless turkey meat, plain steamed green beans and some plain mashed sweet potato for her.

My dog got this pet friendly meal.
She is just like the DH. She went right for the turkey then followed by the mashed potatoes. Sweet potato was the last thing she finished.

We didn't this year because we didn't bring the dog but if it's ever at our house, the pup usually gets a tiny bit of gravy drizzled over his kibble and maybe a few bites of meat!
