I'm looking for new winter boots this year. We get a lot of snow and it gets super cold so they need to be functional, not necessarily fashionable. If they could be both, that would be amazing.
Would love to keep the cost below $150. Any ideas???

Sorrels! I think that's how you spell it. Anyways they are so freaking cute and very warm!

I agree with @aprk - I bought a pair of Keen's last year. They are very comfy and warm. I have heard great things about Sorrels, too. Those were the only two brands I even looked at, but I found some Keen's on sale so I went for those!

I just bought some new Sorels on Gilt for $69! I think the sale is over, but you might want to keep an eye on the flash sale sites, as they will surely have more winter boot sales in the coming days/weeks. Love me some Sorels!

I have had Sorrels for 4 years now, and immediately I was like "why did I never have these before?". They helped me to enjoy winter. And they are cute, in my opinion. Worth every penny. Mine leaked the first year, which is unheard-of, but the company took them back and gave me new ones no problem.

None, I'm not ready to acknowledge that winter is almost here!!!
Just kidding, I really don't have any suggestions though because I always just get a new pair of cheap Walmart ones every year!

LL Bean boots! Similar look to Sorrels and they are lifetime guaranteed! So if they break or whatever, they will just keep replacing them. Amazing.

I bought some from Cabela's last year by Northface. They were less than $100!! I'll have to look online and see if I can find them for you.
Update: I have these. They're on sale for $70 right now!

I live in New England and loooove my Sorel boots. They are not super stylish, but they got me through the 2010 - 2011 (I think) winter when we got a million feet of snow.

I love uggs.
We got stuck up in the North Carolina mtns and I had to walk around in the snow. Feet stayed nice and warm and boots stayed dry!

We're supposed to have a crazy winter, and I'm thinking about getting the LL Bean boots. I had a pair as a child and loved them!

I have ones like these from LLBean http://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/43281?feat=506708-GN2&page=women-s-bean-boots-by-l-l-bean-10-shearling-lined
They have different price ranges though. I think they are cute and super comfy.

Another Sorel lover here! Got a pair for our mountain place and they keep the feet warm and dry! Even went hiking in the snow for a couple of hours in them!

I have these Sorels:

I love them and the zipper at the front is super convenient! I wear them when it's particularly slushy and wet. Otherwise, I love my uggs. Nothing beats their warmth.

If you're looking for Sorels, a great place to get them on sale is Sierra Trading Post:

Google around for a coupon code -- at the very least there's usually free shipping, but often times even better discounts.

Wohoo! Thanks everyone for your thoughts. Sounds like sorels are super popular. I have been eyeing them but I wasn't sure if they were a lot of hype or actually awesome
@Mrs. Tricycle: wow, great deals!!

@JerricaBenton: those are cute! Not sure if I can order from there though since I'm in Canada, and also wouldn't be able to try them on!!

@Alivoo01: I am actually replacing a pair of north face ones! They served me well, but they just started leaking last winter after 5 years of wear. Not too shabby. I will look and see what I can find!
