We are finally out of the swaddle (!!!) and looking for a sleep sack for the cooler months. A friend recommended the Baby DeeDee Sleep Nest and I just wanted some other opinions!

We also used the Baby DeeDee and we loved it. It seemed alot warmer than the Halo fleece ones.

Halo makes a winter weight one now that's significantly heavier than the fleece ones, just fyi. I recently ordered one for my son and we're in the Northeast, so it gets cold. Haven't used it yet, but it's very thick and heavy. I think it's going to be great.

We also use a baby Dee Dee and love it. We have a grobag as well and it's really nice too.

we really liked the woolino merino wool sleeping bags. they are huge and expensive, but you can use them for years.

Last winter we used the 2.5 tog grobag sleepsack and I really loved it - it seemed nice and fluffy, I wanted one for myself. This year we have one from Wee Urban made of sweatshirt material that I've been happy with so far. We keep the bedroom at about 66 degrees and it seems to keep him warm and comfortable.

I got a baby DeeDee used from HB and I really like it. I feel like the Halo fleece ones don't breathe so LO ends up sweating. The DeeDee Keeps her warm and toasty without sweating her out!

for the babyDeeDee, which one is warmer - the Sleep Nest or Sleep Nest tee? Our house is really old and drafty so I feel like it's always freezing.

@lisa1783: hm . Not sure because on their site it saids the tee is quilted with an extra layer. But if you read the room temps it's the same for the nest and nest tee.

I just ordered and received the winter weight halo sleep sack. It is almost like a quilted comforter. Much heavier weight than their fleece ones. I think it will be really warm.

I was going to recommend the Baby Deedee sleep nest before I even read your opening comment We love it and we've tried A LOT of sleep sacks.

We have 3 heavy weight ones, 1 Dee Dee, and 2 from IKEA which are surprisingly thick and snuggly, and only $20 each!

I really wanted to like the Deedee, but the shoulder snaps are crap.
I tried it with my first and she busted out and I found her with a sleep sack on her face in the middle of the night. Tried it again with my second and she got out too. They are not safe in my book.
We use a 2.5tog Grobag on cold nights.

Hanna Andersson! It's on the pricier side, but soft and fleecy on the inside and soft, organic cotton on the outside. We love ours!

DD2 only liked the zipadeezip. She used it until 15 months (I still zip her up in it but most nights she takes it off and cuddles with it).

@oliviaoblivia: agreed. As soon as DD1 could stand up, the snaps came undone. She only used the sleep nest for a few months.
