My husband and I bought a HP desktop (HP Pavilion P6000) approx. 4 years ago. It never picked up a wireless signal but we always had it plugged in so we just forgot about it. Well now we need to move the computer away from the modem and router and I do not know how to get this stupid thing to work. My only guess is that the actual wireless card in the computer doesn't work. Does that even make sense?

My plan is to call HP on Monday but if anyone has any ideas or tips that would be great. I'd like to not sound like an idiot when I call.
