Has anyone been? To the Orlando one in particular! I’m seriously considering taking a solo trip there just for 2 nights as a mom-cation, but would love to hear from anyone that’s been if they enjoyed it!

@DesertDreams88: yay so glad to hear! My family and friends think this is such a silly nerdy trip idea but DH has zero interest in ever going and it’s something I’d really like to experience once!

I absolutely loved it. The details are amazing! I feel like the lines might be a bit hard on someone going alone, but there is also so much to look at in line maybe it would be fine.

Love it!! Very detailed, walking into Diagon Alley gets me every time. I have one of the interactive wands and we’ve gone (without kids) the last few years for my birthday. Even my non nerdy husband really enjoys going. Depending on the time of year you go, the lines aren’t terrible, but they have single rider lines if they get too long, although you’d miss a lot of the detail of walking through Hogwarts and Gringotts.
Definitely go, nerd out and have so much fun!!

I just wanted to say that I love that you're thinking of going alone. That's not the type of solo trip I had ever thought of but it makes so much sense!

@Mommy Finger: I’ve been sort of alternating between Beachy relaxing trips and hardcore sightseeing trips (I take a solo trip every year), and this year I’m due for some touristy stuff!
So glad to hear from everyone that’s been that is was great!

I went once about 5 years ago when it was just the one park and it was awesome !! I would love to go back and see the second area. It would totally be the perfect solo mom trip.
If you can swing it I would stay at one of Universals deluxe hotels.. You can get in an hour early and get an unlimited express pass included for the whole day.

@HappyBaker: my sister's family went (her girls are older teens) - they're all Potter fans and had a blast. They said the details are really well done. I'm not sure I'd like being in a place like that without someone else who would enjoy the magic, but if you don't need someone to discuss the details to enjoy yourself, I think it'd be awesome.

Doooooo it!!! I took my then HP fan 5 year old for the day when we were in Disney last year and it was so flipping amazing. We had a great day but there was so much stuff I missed or couldn't fully appreciate bc I was pretty much at his whim and attention span. He was too short to ride one of the rides also that kind of stunk. I'd love do go back and do it sans kids. The attention to detail and immersion was off the charts. If you're a HP fan you certainly won't regret it.

It’s amazing! Went five years ago with DH and looking forward to taking my kiddos in a few years. The attention to detail is so meticulous and just plain magical!
