It's not much, but it's a start. It's definitely more than a lot of people in the US get.
We used to only have 12 weeks of FMLA. If you wanted to get paid you had to use STD, vacation, and sick leave.

That is awesome (which is kind of sad to say, really, considering mat leaves in the rest of the world. But none-the-less - - very cool!)
I hope more companies start doing this. It's not really a ton of money out of their pocket and I think it will become a strong benefits package differentiator.

That's awesome! We still rely on STD. Although the company pays for the STD so that's a plus -- but it only pays 70 percent salary, not 100 percent

My company added or adjusted (in our favor) something pregnancy/parenting related while I was on maternity leave. I forget what it is. Maybe paid paternity leave or more adoption coverage.

Woohoo!! My company just modified our FMLA/Maternity leave policy too and it's freaking awesome!! Especially for a privately held company! Yay for companies making great advances in this area!

Hooray! My company added 16 weeks paid maternity/paternity leave. Of course, that was after I had my kids, but still. A great step forward and for my field, it's industry-leading.
