I can't remember the last time we had a play date! Between work schedules, seeing ILs on the wknd, and DS1's school/activities; it's hard to get play dates scheduled with my girlfriends...

We don't do it a lot but we have done two playdates recently. This past weekend and three weekends ago. I'm hoping for one this coming weekend with a girl in my daughter's class. And then I invited two girls from her school over for an easter egg hunt the weekend of the 19th.

We had a super rare one planned last weekend, but the mom had to cancel b/c her babies were sick.
Otherwise we just use birthday parties to see friends on weekends. It seems like there's one at least 1x a month. I have two I need to RSVP to right now!
We also attend a local Hike It Baby group almost every weekend, where we hike local trails with other moms/babies. It is wonderful!

Pretty much never. But they play with kids at daycare, so I'm not concerned about scheduling play dates.

@mrsjyw: Not often.
It's usually a weekend day at a museum or park when it does happen. But like you mention, between errands and visits to grandparents, it doesn't happen that often.
My mother was telling me about birthday parties after school during the school week when I was little?? What? Haha, not an option here.

Yeah, rarely since weekends are for us, family, church.. I guess she already gets built in playdates at church and when we see her cousins!

DD1 is almost 4 and honestly it's happen less than 5x. Scheduling one with her BFF in two weekends! FX that no one gets sick!

I find that now that we have two kids, the frequency of play dates have gone down. We probably have a play date once every three weeks. There are usually other social functions in between.

We have one on Saturday! DS1 was always good friends with another boy and girl in his class since they were about 8 mo. This summer, the parents of the girl moved her to a different school. Since DS1 kept asking about her, I reached out to her mom and the mom of the boy to schedule a playdate for the 3 of them. We had one in December and are getting together again this weekend. I haven't made a lot of new friends since we moved to this house 2.5 years ago so it's fun for me too since I like the moms.

Very rarely (like once every few months). But none of our friends here have kids, so that is why. We occasionally meet up with another mom from our daycare but haven't in awhile. In the winter, we tend to hole up.

Never. We haven't been to one since last April! Maybe if I was a SAHM, we'd do it more, but all my friends with kids also work and they live a fair distance away.

My husband and I work opposite schedules, so I am always home with the kids whenever he is at work (and he is home with the kids when I work), so it gives us quite a bit of time for playdates. We probably have them 1-2 times a week. (I only work 25 hours a week)

Managed one during my 6 month maternity leave! Baby girl is now turning one and we had another scheduled at one point but had to cancel due to illness. Not counting getting together with my sister & her kids, though that doesn't happen as often as I'd like either!
I would like to have more but only really have one other local mom friend + weekends are family time and I don't really consider that available time for a playdate.

Outside of birthday parties, once every other month. But it’s with the same group of girls, so if I didn’t have them probably never! One of the girls really makes an effort for the 4 of us to get together. We are high school friends that happened to have kids the same year and still live near-ish each other (I’m the farthest though, but they make an effort to have an activity in my area once in a while).

Usually every other weekend! The weekends DH works we meet my friends and their kiddos somewhere!
She sees her friends at her sitters so has toms of interaction with kids!
She says all their names, it is so cute!

Very rarely. They see the kids they are friends with everyday so weekends are family time.

Maybe 3-4 times a year? She goes to preschool for 9 hours a week plus library storytime and plays with the other kids after so I think that is enough socialization for now. Otherwise she is home with a SAHP and my inlaws see her almost every day as well.

So rarely!!! Our weekends are so busy as-is. Usually I'll plan one if DH is busy with something else.
