Lo is 26 months, and I feel like her sleep has gotten worse lately instead of better. Anyone else notice an increase in motn wake ups after a second birthday? She's also fighting bedtime more and more and falling asleep later.

From about 21-25 months, lo almost always slept through the night, and went to sleep pretty easily for dh. Our routine was that I would nurse her or read books (I stopped nursing at 22 months), and then she'd ask for "dada rock," and she'd fall asleep pretty quickly with him in the room but her lying in the crib. She didn't even need him to pat her--he'd sit in the chair just next to her. Around 25 months, I had a crazy couple weeks of work, including a few days out of town and a few days where I was so busy I didn't see her/wasn't home while she was awake. Our routine went out the window basically because she was really clingy with me, refuses "dada rock," tells dh to "go away" and only wants me. Bed time with me takes longer--she insists most of the time on falling asleep in my arms instead of in the crib. Plus, she's waking up more and more, and gets REALLY pissed if dh goes in instead of me. Last night I was in her room from 1:30-4am

I've talked to her daycare teachers about it a bit, and they've mentioned that children begin to have nightmares/dream more at this age, and that can affect sleep. And I think she's just making developmental leaps in general right now--everyday she's more and more verbal, etc. It reminds me of what "wonder weeks" were like when she was smaller, but no one talks about toddler wonder weeks

Any advice/commiseration?
