So bittersweet! I've definitely felt those words before so it hit close to home. Oh here comes the water works from me, thank goodness it's DD's long so I can just cry my eyes out!

I'm glad the song could bring comfort to some, but honestly, it disturbed me. It's hard not to personalize because it's such a personal topic, but she lost me after she started talking about teenagers and abortions. Maybe because I am extremely pro choice. It would be a beautiful thing if babies could arrive to only those who want them, but unfortunately sometimes people who don't want a baby right then end up pregnant & sometimes people who want nothing more than to get pregnant can't get pregnant, neither situation is one to envy, they are both struggle. My IF doesn't negate the pain of a teenager who has her life derailed by an unexpected pregnancy.
I'm not ragging on the song or the choice to share it, it sounds like it was really positive for the majority, I just thought if throw my reaction out there too

@mrs. bird: That was how I felt too, but since I don't have IF issues I didn't feel like I could say anything. But I really wish she'd left the abortion issue out of it. It totally ruined it for me, and I'm otherwise really happy to see IF getting more attention.

Gosh that just caught me in the middle of a couple things that really hit home. (Eta, in a grateful way) I can only hope and pray that all those struggling with IF become mamas.
@mrs. bird: It's not the same for me but when I heard that part it was hard not to think of my experience with ppd and a part of me wanting to die when I HAD my little girl...so I can see how that part could rub someone the wrong way (if they have ever been in a position where they weren't grateful for the experience, or even had an abortion. But I dot think it was meant that way.)
