I voted yes, only because we live on a busy street and I can't stand the motorcycles. I swear some of them do laps around the block. It's so loud from inside the house (and we're a sidewalk and a yard away from the actual street) that I always wince.

No. If it was next to a convicted pedo, yes, but not an HD dealer.

Also, please don't "stereotype" motorcycle riders. My family, including DH and I, all own and ride motorcycles as well as A LOT of our friends and extended family. The people who will be walking in and out of that dealership probably have families, a job and a life similar to yours... they just ride a motorcycle. Sorry, the topic irks me.

Nope. I think Harley's are cool. I have a couple of friends upstate who have owned them and they don't fit some sort of stereotype of looking like they are in a motorcycle gang. If it's a daycare you love, I don't see the problem.

I would only worry about the noise. But MAN they can be loud. If it were something that happened every now and then it would be one thing, but so frequent would have me worried about the potential impact on children's hearing!

I have a friend who works with hearing loss patients and she even said that some noisy children's toys can have an impact--and I feel like Harley's would be far louder!

But if I couldn't find any other almost perfect spot? I would do it!

Only the noise would bother me. The type of clientele going to a dealership wouldn't sway me. Our daycare is across the street from a gas station and a liquor store. At least it isn't noisy lol

just want to clarify that when I voted yes, I meant noise and only noise, not because of the motorcyclists themselves.

I wouldn't, because of the noise. I'm sure you can hear it inside, not just on the playground.

It would bother me but only bc I hate the sound of motorcycles myself.

I would ask the parents and daycare teachers about the noise... if they say it's not an issue, then I'd be ok with it.

My neighbors are school teachers and own motorcycles, so it would bother me purely for the noise, not for the clientele. It depends on the proximity, but motorcycles can get LOUD, so I would probably keep looking.

I voted yes but only for the noise factor. Seems like it could disrupt nap times and also be bothersome on the playground.

The noise might be an issue but if the daycare has good windows and there's no sound while they are inside then it would be no big deal. The Harley dealership wouldn't bother me.

It would bother me a lot and probably make me not send him there. I wouldn't want all the noise and exhaust while LO was outside playing.

Nope, because the average biker is typically in their 40-50s. Also, Harley dealerships and HOG groups are great community members. My dad's HOG group is amazing. Wouldn't worry me a bit.

I wouldn't mind as long as lo wasn't highly sensitive to noise (or I would at least keep that in mind to watch out for.) The child I nanny for would probably be really bothered by it but the little boy would think it was Disney World!

Only because of the noise. I think its a but wrong to stereotype people who ride motorcycles. They are just people who like things that move fast on 2 wheels. So what? It's not like the are pedo bikes. I have no problem with the people. The sound of bikes zooming past bugs me though, I don't know why. It just always has.
