Nope. 2 is our max either way, so if we end up with 2 girls, well that's just too bad for DH
pomegranate / 3768 posts
My parents want me to have 3 (I come from a family of 3 kids), but I'm pretty sure we're going to stop at 2. DH and I don't care of it's one of each or not.
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
Nope! DH and I already agreed 3 would be the max, even if all 3 are boys!
GOLD / wonderful pea / 17697 posts
@locavore_mama: We're the exact opposite! All boys...E is number 10 in a row. There hasn't been a girl born into D's family in 76 years! I felt a ton of pressure to produce a girl, especially since E will either have been the last or second-to-last chance for this generation to have one, depending on whether or not we decide to have a second!
But if we decide to have a second two is our limit, boy or girl. My parent did this, though...wanted to keep having babies until they got a girl. I'm #4.

Nope - three is my max and as of right now (and most days I'm leaning more towards 2) I can honestly say I don't really mind whether we have a boy. It would be nice, but not nice enough for me to keep on having babies to try and get one!
clementine / 896 posts
No. People ask this all the time because we have 2 boys, but we live having boys. If we were to have a third child we'd both hope for another boy probably.
hostess / papaya / 10219 posts
Nope-I'd kind of like another boy anyway. And I'm pushing it age-wise as it is, so definitely not going to have a 3rd.
pomelo / 5326 posts
3 is our max. I'd love to have a mix of genders, but if it's not meant to be then I'm ok with it. If our next child is a boy (we have a girl already) we'd likely stop at 2.

@autumnlove: nope, we would've been thrilled to have two girls!
even though we have one each now, we are still open to having a third. we're really on the fence about that one.
GOLD / pomelo / 5737 posts
We just want two. I have a girl and would be happy with either gender for the next but I think if I got to choose I would pick another girl!
blogger / eggplant / 11551 posts
@autumnlove: ha, funny joke! i'll let you win that race.
GOLD / watermelon / 14076 posts
Nope. We're probably one and done, but if we had another I'd actually prefer another girl.
pineapple / 12053 posts
We would like a boy, but I think 3 is our max. DH said he would be okay with 3 girls but I know I would have been sad if I never had a girl, so who knows how far I would have gone to have one! Good thing we already have DD!

I want three no matter what. While I would love to have a boy someday, it's not THAT important.
coconut / 8475 posts
@babyjmama: yikes. "Half a dozen" sounds like plenty.
We want 4 MAYBE 5. So, I assume we will have at least 1 girl in there? If not, we'll stop. If I have all boys, i'll probably stop at 4 actually haha.
grapefruit / 4997 posts
A good friend of mine has 8 older brothers! Her parents tried and tried for that girl. We're going to be done afterLO #2.
coconut / 8483 posts
@CupQuakeWalk: haha yes we want 3-4, and I'm having a boy in March. I feel like if I had all boys I'd stop at 3!
pomegranate / 3003 posts
Two is our loose plan, and three is our absolute max. I'd be totally fine with any assortment. I'm 100% on board with the prospect of three girls, too. Whatever happens, I'm game. Sex is not important enough to gamble our family's financial well being. We simply couldn't afford to "keep trying" for a son.

@Mrs. Champagne: can you imagine the things they would terrorize and destroy around the house? The mud-fights? The dirty sports equipment? No.....No......;)
persimmon / 1223 posts
No - two is our max if we even get to #2. We have a little boy now and although I would love to have a girl in the future I think I will be happy no matter what.

If I don't have a girl by #3 I'll lea ve it up to chance as to wether we have #4 or not. But 4 is my absolute limit! I'd ideally have 3.
hostess / wonderful honeydew / 32460 posts
we would have been happy with 2 girls!
lucked out with one of each!
pomegranate / 3401 posts
Our max is 3.....we already have a girl and if we have 2 more girls so be it! I just really cared about having a girl so glad I got that out of the way!
bananas / 9973 posts
Nope.
Side Note: I met a woman once with 8 sisters! The last 2 were twins and her dad said "oh no! They're coming in pairs now!"
kiwi / 645 posts
No that wouldn't have mattered to us. Currently pregnant with #2 (a boy) and we already have a girl, but if baby was another girl that would have still been it for us. Many people asked us this question before we found out if #2 was a boy or girl.
pomegranate / 3791 posts
Although there is something in me that yearns for a daughter, if this baby is another boy we will still be done - 2 is our limit.
I feel like it must be so much pressure for that finally born gender if your parents had a whole bunch of kids to get you! Like if they always wanted a boy, and they get a boy who doesn't want to play sports or whatever the dad is into, or if they always wanted a girl and when they get one she's an anti-princes tomboy, I hope that would be okay! It just feels like there would be so much pressure for them to fit into their parent's gender stereotypes and ideas of what a son/daughter will be.
watermelon / 14206 posts
Nope. It's not important enough for me to be a reason to be pregnant again.
GOLD / wonderful pomegranate / 28905 posts
We're faced with this decision now.
We'll see how we do with two and go from there. But 3 will be our max.
pomegranate / 3863 posts
Absolutely not! I can commit to carrying one more baby and as much as I would love a girl I would be thrilled with either sex!! In fact, I'd kind of love to see O with a little brother, teaching hmi all sorts of "boy" stuff. We are open to a adopting a third but that is so far in the future I can't even think about it right now, lol.
grapefruit / 4554 posts
3 is our max regardless of gender, we have two girls now and we are still adjusting to being a family of 4.
blogger / pomelo / 5361 posts
Nope. 4 is our absolute max number we would ever consider. If we have another boy, we'll be thrilled, and then we might consider adopting a girl, we might stop at 3 or we might roll the dice on a biological #4. We think it would be fun to have at least one of each gender, but we love our boys enough to know we would love 3 or 4 boys just as much as any combo of boys and girls.
bananas / 9899 posts
No, however we do want to have up to 4 kids. So if we had, say, 3 boys that may help us make that decision to have that 4th child to try for a girl. If the 4th is also a boy though, we'd give up lol.
