I'm glad that some women do video their child's births and put them on the internet (I watched them a ton when I was pregnant) but I don't think I could. I was a hot, gross bloated mess, and threw up so much...

Definitely not! I might IG that I'm AT the hospital and then a pic of the BABY (not me because I looked terrible), but that's the extent of it! No actual in-labor posts!

Whoa, they video'd her getting an epidural. Husbands are even allowed in the room during that procedure at my hospital. I would take a picture at the beginning of labor and then with a squishy baby, otherwise no.
I hope that they're good parents. The various Twitter stories and articles I've read about them gives me pause about how they'll act as parents.

no, no videos. But I don't mind the IG progression of various labor pictures. Just general, hey we checked in, hey I'm hooked up, hey, things are progressing, and then here is squishy baby.

I could see doing a "we're checked in" and then a "look, a baby!" post but that's it. DEFINITELY no video, especially not of me getting an epidural. Yikes.

nothing too crazy, just a few pics of me and my husband arriving at the hospital, then me laboring on a birth ball, and then the final aftermath of me with a baby in my arms.

Just til I start to get gross! So... early labor, sure!
I made Wagon Sr. agree to put down the camera once pushing started and not pick it back up until after the baby was out. Otherwise he shot photos and video before and after. Very little gore and no crotch shots.

i also posted a lot on HB while i was in labor, and the support of this community was incredible, and it was so fun reading through everyone's comments in the middle of my labor! seriously, it kept my mind off the pain and before i knew it, baby was here!

I would do the same as others have suggested: taking a pic of getting checked in, making progress, and eventually cuddling a baby but nothing TMI. I would love to get a video shortly after birth of me and the baby getting to know each other and would post snippets of that but no video of labor, yuck.

No! I wouldn't have even thought to post it on IG. I was also paranoid of being pestered, so we didn't tell anybody I was in labor. It was like "Surprise, baby!"

@grizz: me too! I made my mom and husband promise not to tell anyone I was at the hospital! (in retrospect, they probably did, but no one bugged me, so I'm happy!)
