My mom is determined to help my son say his numbers. So the other day, I overheard her saying "Ok, let's learn numbers. This is OOONE, SOOO, SUHREE, POH, PIEBUH! (Koreans can't say "F" so they say "P" instead). I started cracking up but then I started thinking "oh crap! he's gonna start saying "five" as "piebuh"!
Poor kid. I told her to stop trying to teach him English. But my husband says he won't know any different because he can't say the sound "f" anyway. And that he'll probably say it with a P. But I still think he needs to hear it the right way. Right?
