A friend of mine painted an area of her walls with magnetic chalkboard paint! It was so cool to look at.
(Would) Any of you have chalkboard painted walls?

I personally wouldnt I dont want to encourage writing on the walls. I might use the chalk board paint to create a little hand held slate for her to write on though

My husband had asthma when he was younger so I'm kind of scared that my son may also have it too. So I try not to get him to play with too much chalk because of the chalk dust, which my DH said sometime flared up his asthma. I think it's SUPER cute though!!

I'm planning on painting something with chalkboard paint someday. Whether it's a wall or a play table... I don't know yet. Or part of the fence in the backyard- I just saw that one on pinterest. I'm all about writing on walls

I would in a different house- it is a very small room without much wall space and we painstakingly put up bead board on the bottom half of the room, which wouldn't look good with chalkboard paint. But I will make DIY chalkboards that are mobile around the house.
I have been known to draw on my walls and paint my room on my own growing up, so we chose scrubbable paint in the nursery. He is my son after all...

Yes! We've always talked about doing this. It will probably have to wait until we own a place in a couple of years... But by then hopefully LO will be old enough to understand that only the chalkboard wall is to be written on, and the rest of the house if off limits.

No it looks cool but I don't want chalk dust flying around.

When we moved into our house, the previous owner's had painted half a wall with chalkboard paint in the (finished) basement. We kept it and our nephews love it!

Heck no. The dust would drive me nuts. There's a reason why chalkboards aren't used in classrooms anymore-- whiteboards are so much neater!

i'd definitely consider it! sounds really cool! but definitely not while we're renting a place. maybe if we get our own place.
