I used to want Fridays off so I could do chores and get an early jumpstart on the weekend. But we do so much on the weekends, that I'm usually drained come Monday morning. So post kids I think I'd prefer Monday off!

Monday!!!
I would love to enjoy the weekend and then send the kids off to school on Monday and get all the "work" done - grocery shop, prep meals, laundry, etc etc.

Mondays! It's part of the reason why I chose Monday as one of my work from home days. It saves me an hour and a half commute into the city, so I get to sleep in just a little longer on Mondays.

Monday! I never feel like I use my Friday's off to be as productive as I would like.

Friday! In college I always tried to arrange my schedule to have Fridays free and I loved it.

Fridays! In fact, I get one day off and I chose Fridays!

I think Mondays sound good in theory, but I used to not work Mondays and too much work is done that day that I found it way too stressful to not be in the office that day!

Friday! I have every other Friday off, and it's fantastic. We can't take Monday's, too much business happens on Mondays!

@dc yoga bee: yep same!
I feel like if I take off Monday, I can't catch up at all during the week.

Friday... holidays usually fall on a monday so its like a 4 day weekend when it happens!

@bunnylove08: That too!! I got two bonus days of maternity leave thanks to being off Friday and then Memorial Day was that Monday!

This summer my WFH day is Mondays. Fridays tend to be a calmer day at my office and people generally leave early. It's kind of a nice segue was weekend work by having that extra day to be home. Plus DH and some friends work near my office, so most weeks we go out to lunch on Fridays, so I like to be around for that.

Because of my job, I'd much rather have Mondays off. I have to meet all the new patients who come on the floor over the weekend, and some Mondays we have nearly an entire floor turnover.

I would pick Friday because a lot of holidays fall on Mondays so then you would have 4 day weekends from time to time.

DH works 4 days a week. He used to take Monday off but he found he always felt behind and like it would hurt his career. He switched to Fridays years ago and is very happy.

I have Fridays off now and I like it. A lot happens on Mondays in my line of work - I think I would feel really behind. (Says the lady on HB on a Monday...) By the time Friday rolls around, things are slowing down and I can usually keep up by just doing a few emails during nap time.

When I reenter the work force I'd prefer Mondays. DH is more likely to have Monday off than Friday.

I had a job once where I had to work the Saturday shift every few months, but then I had Sunday and Monday off. I admit, Monday off is really nice. Getting errands done is fantastic because everyone else is working so lines are generally shorter. There is also something really fabulous about sitting around in a cafe on Monday enjoying a leisurely coffee while everyone else is at the office. The week feels shorter when it starts on Tuesday!

Monday! Friday was always a fun day at work as people seem to be winding down to the weekend, and of course, then there were after work drinks to attend as well....
That being said, I haven't worked since becoming a mum so I can't say which I'd prefer if I were a working mum, but thinking back to when I was working, I definitely would have preferred having Mondays off!

Dh has Friday's off and it's so nice! When I start working I would love to get a job where I work four days instead of five. I would prefer Friday's because then it would always be three days off for all of us

I have every other Friday off and love it. I get 4 day weekends around some holidays, we get a jump start when we are headed out of town for the weekend.
Mondays are typically my most productive day with the least amount of meetings, so I would feel like I was catching up all week if I had Mondays off.

I know someone who has Mondays off... she gets an extra day added to her vacation every time a holiday falls on a Monday. So that's really awesome. Not sure if that's just policy where she works, or anywhere people can do a 4-day week.

Monday for sure! I work part time just Thursday's and Fridays and I love it!

Definitely Monday. Fridays are usually more quiet in the office, so it almost feel like a "free" day anyway

Mondays, since my husband usually has them off in exchange for working Saturdays, which I really don't mind!
The only downside is that my work usually finds all sorts of Monday morning crises that I get dragged into via multiple e-mails on Monday mornings like today since I work from home most nights. Fridays are nice since most people want to start the weekend ASAP, so drama is usually limited.

It doesn't make a lick of a difference to me. An extra day is an extra day!!

Back when I had the option, I always took Wednesdays off.... then I never had to work more than two days in a row It was such a nice mid-week break!!

I would take Mondays. I have Monday mornings off and it's so easy to get doctor's appointments etc. None of the doctors or dentists around here seem to work Fridays!

I had Monday's off post baby and loved it. Regroup from weekend. And Monday's suck and suddenly became my fave day! My office gave me a few extra vacation days to compensate for Monday holidays.

I say Fridays! I think it would jumpstart the weekend and make it easier to plan fun things to do as a family or to take a 3 day trip somewhere.

Monday! This past Memorial Day weekend, that Sunday night felt awesome! And Fridays are always a little easier since they are the end of the week anyway.
