I wanted to make myself an egg salad sandwich for breakfast (I know, weird breakfast choice) so I pulled out 2 hard boiled eggs, mayo, relish and onions!
And was SO annoyed when I saw that my mayo expired in December 2011!
I decided not to use the expired mayo. :T
Would you have used it?

No just because it has high egg content and I'm nervous about egg products once they pass their date. If it was ketchup I would have used it

yeah, I am pretty lax about expirations dates but for me, mayo is a no-no.

Hell to the no. I don't eat Mayo anyway but if I did I think that would be on of the foods where I always always always follow the expiration date.

The sucky thing is.. I think I bought it expired! I don't think it's been more than 4 months since I purchased it. WTF WHOLEFOODS!!!!

I wouldn't use it. Bad mayo is no joke. I bought yogurt once & discovered that it was expired when I went to eat it a few days later. So annoying!!

no, as soon as I see an expiration date that is overdue it goes in the trash and I run to the store.

No! If it were mustard, or maybe even ketchup I might chance it....but definitely not mayo! Also, in pregnancy I probably wouldn't chance anything at all!

hmm. with the date if i'd known it hadn't been open that long I might smell/taste test it and then cautiously take my chances if it seemed ok. if i knew it was open for a long time and then expired dec 2011, i'd prob ditch it a few weeks after.

I'm not a mayo fan anyways, so nope. And I'd bug Hubs so that he wouldn't either (otherwise, he'd eat anything).

If I was pregnant, probably not. Since I'm not pregnant, I would smell it and see it smelled ok then decide. I don't check the date on things so I wouldn't know if I was eating expired food.
My roommate in college was hungry one day and grabbed a bag of cookies of mine. She turned on the light and noticed they were green! Eww!
