Our public school system is just OK, but we already looked into private school tuition and we cannot afford it. Both DH and I went to "OK" public schools, and we turned out just fine and went to good colleges and everything. So we're comfortable with the plan for now. I'd maybe consider it for later years if our financial situation changed, but not for elementary school.

LO is on the way in November, and I'm already thinking Montessori school! That would be my preference, unless she gets into a charter school. Ours is also $600 a month. (ouch)
