Not sure if you can read this without a digital subscription http://online.wsj.com/articles/breech-delivery-process-is-reconsidered-1402354629 , but there was an interesting article in today's WSJ about doctors in Germany becoming more willing to attempt vaginal delivery of breech babies instead of just defaulting to a c-section, since vaginal deliveries are more natural and c-sections come with complications as well. The author suggests that US doctors are unlikely to change because of the risk of malpractice lawsuits. I was also surprised to read that only 4% of babies are breech at term. Anecdotally it has always seemed higher to me.

What do you think? Would you want to attempt a vaginal birth if your baby was breech? On one hand I would really like to avoid a c-section but on the other hand I'd worry about something happening to the baby during delivery.
