We received the results of Xander's milk allergy testing. His milk IgE level was 16.10, which "suggests that there is a >95% probability that ingestion of milk would result in a reaction of some sort - the severity cannot be predicted."

Based on my limited research, milk IgE levels should be less than 0.35 to be negative, so Xander's level are fairly high.

Our allergist wants to do a baked milk challenge at some point where we give him a baked food with known milk to see how he reacts, but suggests waiting until age 3 or 4 to do that. For now we're instructed to continue to avoid dairy and we'll repeat the test in another year.
