we bought one a couple of weeks ago when LO was going through his 6 wk growth spurt and as we were trying to reswaddle him...(lo is 8 weeks)... while we like how tightly we can swaddle him, it's a PITA for nighttime dipe changes, and honestly we get longer stretches of sleep in the halo sleepsack (6 hours or so)...

I love the miracle blanket for day use but not for night for the reason you said with diaper changes.

We only used it for night time and it saved us big time in the early weeks. He would get his arms out of all the other blankets we tried no matter how tight we swaddled.

Yay. It was definitely a PITA when we were still doing night time diaper changes, but once we stopped that it was the best swaddle we have. He's able to bust out of all the other ones and it seems to help him sleep longer.

It helped us immensely. LO would bust out of very other swaddle. He needed a swaddle fo sleep ubtil 4 months. But if your LO doesnt need it to sleep long stretches you might as well ditch it then you won't have to swaddle wean later.

YES! They're awesome. And as soon as your LO stops pooping during the night, stop changing those diapers!

We used the miracle blanket religiously until LMW started breaking out of it every night. We switched to the Woombie and OMG, no turning back. All you do is zip it up! So easy!! And impossible to break out of.

We used it until we discovered the halo swaddle sleepsack. WAY easier and faster...just two velcros and you are done. Now THAT is a miracle blanket.

Hmm well havent used it yet but I have a miracle blanket but now I see I need to look into Woombie and the Halo sleep sacks.

We have one, but only use it for naps at 11 weeks. He was breaking out of it regularly and waking up. We now use the large swaddleme blankets that are velcro closed. He doesn't break out of them and started sleeping 9:30pm-6:30am.

I didn't like it. I found the swaddleme and the halo swaddle easier.

The miracle blanket was our savior. Our LO could break out of any blanket EXCEPT for the MB.

For us it was a yay because my husband can't do a traditional swaddle so if he was in charge of putting him to sleep that night, he needed to use a miracle blanket.

We love the miracle blanket - J needs to have his hands swaddled down to sleep long stretches at night (and for naps too). We're sad though - this week he has started breaking out of it every night, so it may be time to switch to something else! Any suggestions for a houdini who isn't ready to sleep unswaddled yet?
@mrswagon: We tried putting him in the woombie last night and he hated it! Did your LO like it right away, or did he have to get used to it?

@Beehive: We had the same issue and that's why we started using the large swaddleme blanket. So far so good.
