Anyone else a YHL blog reader? I just saw today's post that they are expecting again. For some reason, this just made me giddy! I am interested to see how they handle all that they do with a newborn and a toddler at home!

Aww! I am excited and scared for them... Clara's birth was crazy! I hope she has a very smooth, uneventful pregnancy and L&D this time around. I can't wait to see nursery #2

I am so excited! I knew it'd be soon because they kept referring to the other bedroom as "guest bedroom/future nursery" instead of "guest bedroom" or whatever it is.

OMG, this makes me so happy!!!! I LOVE them and have been waiting for them to have another baby!!!
I just hope she has a better birth experience for baby #2 than she did for baby #1!!!

Aw, I can't get to their site to see the announcement! But just reading your post made me tear up a little (pregnancy emotions!). They seem like such a nice, normal family. I'm so excited for them!

@twodoghouse: I teared up too, and I can't even blame it on pregnancy hormones. Maybe mother hormones??
I am also curious about if it'll be a b/g, what they'll name it, and how they'll decorate the nursery!
Also hoping for a smooth pregnancy and L&D for them, they definitely deserve it.

@bunnymommy: YHL is a DIY home improvement blog called "Young House Love." It's pretty popular, they even had a book come out last year and also just appeared on Oprah's Super Soul Sunday. Pretty insane how popular they have become. It's an awesome blog and the couple who runs it are really cool. They have one daughter already and it was a traumatic L&D when she was born with a placental abruption and cord prolapse.

I'm thrilled. There was a thing recently about how a full-length side-profile picture of her had been obviously photoshopped to be very flat, and I figured it was to cover a baby bump until they were ready to share. She's petite and said she showed super early with Clara.
Her and KB must be so excited to be pregnant again together!

@mediagirl: If I remember correctly they were under orders to wait 2(?) years after Clara was born since she had a dramatic delivery.. KB is Katie Bower from Bower Power, they're BFF's and Katie is pregnant too! They had their first LO's a few months apart and Katie had one in between those two.

@mediagirl: Possibly, although because of the circumstances of Clara's birth they were told to wait for 2 years to even try again (man, I feel like a creepy fan!). They have a ton of fans who have been very "OMG ARE YOU PREGNANT YET?" (causing them to write posts about things like The State of My Uterus) and I imagine that in their shoes, even if they weren't trying/decided Clara's birth was too traumatic to even have another kid (which I would totally understand) they'd still want to dangle that possibility to the fans. Hence, always calling the spare room "the maybe future nursery" -my two cents.
Anyway, I've been less than impressed with the work (or lack there of) they've done on their new house, and being pregnant and in the first trimester is definitely a legit reason.

@lovehoneybee: I agree! I was really liking what they were doing with the sunroom until they put up the beadboard ceiling. I really feel like they should have made the boards vertical! I feel bad even admitting this, but I kind of hate Clara's big girl room, and the white wash in the living room looks horrible. I'm excited to see what they do with the kitchen/nursery though!

yay for them! i just watched their oprah clip and it made me like them so much more. i'm not always into their new DIYs, but their first house was so great and they are so detail oriented that i know once we buy a house, i'm going to refer to their tutorials!

@T.H.O.U.: yeah, I thought about that too. I wondered why they didn't just nix those comments, but I guess then people would be up in arms about them filtering comments, etc. And they probably had more than that come through on the same topic.
