Both of my girls want to wear TIGHTS every day with their dresses! I don't understand because it is really hot here!

His baseball hat. Obsessed. He even wants to sleep with it. I need to get him a lighter weight one, cuz the one he has right now is a winter-weight wool one from The Gap. His poor little head gets so hot in it!

1)her sunglasses
It could be raining outside but she walks around in her sunglasses
2) dresses and skirts - all the shorts I bought last year for this summer I imagine will go unused!

@autumnlove: Haha, tights.
"Little clippies" and her pink shoes.

@Mamaof2: Ha ha, yes, the sunglasses! He constantly wants to have his "shades" on. Even inside. At night. When it's raining.

Shorts. A few weeks ago it was pretty warm here (northern montana) and now we are having typical spring weather, 50-60 with a cool breeze. It's chilly but he insists on shorts!

Crocodile rain boots and his Big Brother shirt. He wears the latter to bed a lot and throws a fit that I won't let him wear it to school (yet).

@mediagirl: I am trying to find some tights online right now!
Clippies! My girls are obsessed and they even have "special" bows that they want to wear before bedtime!

Shoes! She is constantly taking her shoes off to put on a different pair or trying on our shoes.

Princess dress. Every single day she wears one (over her regular clothes)
"Fancy" shoes - sequined flats.

Her sunglasses (which she often puts on upside down) and these days she always insists on wearing a hat if we leave the house. She's very old fashioned!

My daughter is finally off the rain boots kick! She's currently into "pretty dresses" that twirl, bows, and sunglasses.

My DD is into separates pretty much exclusively. Shirts, shorts, some skirts, leggings, and pants. Except for special occasions when she will wear dresses, and in that case the brighter and shinier the better. My advice after they turn 5 - do not buy too far in advance because you might get burned.. I have a closetful of dresses for her that I need to now get rid of.
My DS really does not care what he wears as long as it's comfortable and has an elastic waist. He also would love it if all shirts had Thomas on them.

Hmmm, DS doesn't really have any. He has opinions and preferences but I wouldn't call them obsessions. He likes his Crocs. I guess he's a typical boy.

Baseball hat! There was some drama when it got blown off by the wind, lost, found under a car, and retrieved with a big stick.

Bracelets! She walks around with her arm bent so they don't fall off ano has a certain way she puts them on

I'm so glad I am not the only one stuck in pretty dress hell, especially as we have different definitions of what constitutes pretty...
grapefruit / 4584 posts
Jelly shoes, "twirly" dresses (designated as such by my 3-year-old, no specific feature), anything pink, and junk jewelry (ie plastic glittery stuff)

@youboots: sometimes I have to try not to laugh out loud when she picks something!

The old navy jelly ballet flats. She has peach and red. Obsessed.
I'm afraid she's going to grow out of them soon. I can't find them any where.
Any one have size eights to sell?

Princess dresses, hats, and necklaces. Oh and sunglasses!

@oliviaoblivia: I am looking for 7s! I saw 8s on eBay but they were really marked up!
admin / watermelon / 14210 posts
princess dresses for olive. charlie doesn't care too much but he does like wearing flip flops.
pineapple / 12793 posts
@autumnlove: our 7s are yours as soon as I procure 8s. I have a feeling she'll be jamming her too big feet into them for a while.

Today she picked out her own outfit - hearts on hearts. I didn't have the heart to fight it, lol.
She loves pink, purple, dresses, headbands, and hair clips. Likes leggings but refuses to wear shorts.
DS only has opinions on bibs! Today he wanted to wear his airplane one.

Pretty dresses here, too. Although she's pretty liberal with her definition of pretty and will accept any dress as such. Also, shoes. She can stay busy for a solid hour trying on her different pairs of shoes. Not in favor? Anything denim, sadly.

@autumnlove: @oliviaoblivia: Ask them to check the back at your Old Navy - mine had almost nothing on the floor a few weeks back, but when I asked them if they had any 8's in the stock room, they came out with pretty much every color - I had a hard time choosing, they're all soo cute!

@catlady: Yes! Upside down sunglasses! My DD loves doing this too. We have some HILARIOUS Easter photos of her in this super fancy, classic easter dress, white lace socks, shiny mary janes....topped off with upside down, blinged out movie star shades (and the sassiest expression ever). Love it.
