@winniebee: Xander is wearing something similar - I got a plaid pastel shirt for him to wear and he'll wear khakis.
But Logan's just going to wear whatever. I'm too cheap to buy him something he'll probably only wear once. And we don't go to church so it's no big deal that he'll likely just be in pjs.

@Adira: the shirt was 8 bucks and the other stuff he already had! But I know what you mean.

@winniebee: I hear you. When Xander was a newborn, he had a pastel outfit that he wore for Easter, and I may see if that fits Logan, but Logan's chubbier (and older than Xander was at this time of year), so I'm not sure he'll fit! I should actually look through my clothes - maybe I already own something that's cute that will work!

@winniebee: totally. I'm glad J's spitting up on the same grubby couch that M was spitting up on 2.5 years ago
nectarine / 2053 posts
@winniebee: Aww sounds cute!
@snowjewelz: That's what DH said!
@Adira: If we didn't go to church, I probably wouldn't spend the money on it either unless it was super cheap!

Ethan took a four hour nap this afternoon which was great for me. Sipping on chicken broth now.
@whenoceansrise: I got a couple super cute outfits from Younkers that are Carters I believe. He will wear a pink stripped button down shirt with some blue khakis. Adorbs.

@whenoceansrise: I got this for M to wear to get Easter bunny pics taken. I can at least give it to my sister afterwards since she's having a boy in June.

I really think we are teething......she chews on her fists and toys/blankets with furry and even has been gumming my nipple when nursing?!? Anyone else?
honeydew / 7283 posts
@josina: so glad he took a great nap for you when you really needed it!
@FaithFertility: J is chewing / sucking on his fists and toys like crazy. I've been attributing it more to soothing and exploring, but I could totally be wrong!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@MrsF: I was too until the chewing on me......lol But it has gone from a soothing suck on hands/toys to furry...
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@FaithFertility: Ryan wants to put everything in his mouth and gets so angry when he can't! Gnawing on fists....chewing paci. Drooling. Could be teething but I think it's just developmental. Teething is so mysterious!
honeydew / 7283 posts
@FaithFertility: could be! It'll be fun to see who sprouts the first tooth
eggplant / 11861 posts
@winniebee: I can imagine......she was chewing/pulling on me tonight I was cracking up, my poor boobs....lol

@FaithFertility: I think they can start teething now, but an actual teeth may still not cut till much later!
So K had been waking up an hour after being put down at night. I CANNOT put her back to sleep; she just stares at me and smiles! Tonight, I happened to be in the shower so DH had go in there and she went back to sleep and is still sleeping! Normally she'd be sleeping now b/c I nursed her to sleep. I'm gonna make DH do this from now on!! Or just "happen" to be in the shower haha!

I had K's first giggles tonight. I'm sure she's done it before, just not for me. She usually just gets a really big grin, but doesn't giggle.
honeydew / 7283 posts
@snowjewelz: that's great! Send him in there every time!
@MamaG: yay for giggles! Such a great milestone. Newborns are snugly and all, but it's the giggles and the little personalities starting to peek through that melt my heart

@FaithFertility: Ethan has been chewing/sucking on anything he can lately,,, hands, blankets, toys, even his toes when he can. He has a Pooh vibrating teether that he loves! Hopefully he's not actually teething yet though, scary!
@MamaG: I love baby giggles! I managed to get E recorded tonight when he was giggling.
Here's hoping Ethan's long nap today still gets me good sleep tonight and that I feel better in the morning! Thanks for the well wishes!

@MrsF: Agreed! Her and I laid in bed tonight while Dad bathed the big kid. She was talking and giggling and trying to jump on me. We were practicing "so big" and that was entertaining. Peek-a-boo isn't quite her thing yet.
Snuggles are sweet but development and watching them figure things out really makes my mama heart swell.

All the teething talk! Our pediatrician told us to be on the watch at her 4 month appointment. C sprouted her first tooth at about 6 months. I just hope K goes through the process as smoothly at C. Teething never bothered her. She just drooled and chewed a lot.
Has anyone given solids and thoughts? We started right at 6 months with C, but in retrospect I wish I started earlier. She was much happier when we started solids. K isn't showing any signs that she needs to start, yet.

Anyone have sore nipples? Distracted nursing home 101 here. She kills my nipples.

@MamaG: I love giggles!! I love that A is much more smiley/giggly compared to his older sister. Today he was batting at the toys above him and giggling.
I hope A is a late teether. N got her first two teeth at 8 months! Oh gosh, A is nowhere near starting solids. We waited at 5 months and i actually wish we pushed it off until 6 months. I think i rushed it hoping it was the answer to sleeping through the night. We are going to wait until 6 months with A.
@FaithFertility: My nipples are A's pacifiers...
@josina: That's awesome!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@MamaG: oh wow, 6 mos! I'm actually hoping she does it a lil later b/c I do not want teeth chomping down on the nipples
I'm probably waiting to 6 mo for solids...
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@Adira: oh no! We've been sneezy the past few days but I think we are just fighting something.
On solids will probably wait until he seems really interested and is closer to sitting unassisted. He's already doubled his birthweight so there's no concern with needing to wait for hat (I forget what all the readiness signs are but I know that's one of them). We started at 4.5 months last time and it just seems too early now. Although our GI doc wanted to add rice cereal to his bottle so I'm not sure if we will do that or if the GI doc will push solids earlier to help with reflux. We go back to him just before 5 mos.

@BandDmommy: K is a very distracted nurser too but since I use a nipple shield on and off it doesn't really affect my nipples... Just takes forever to nurse b/c I keep having to get her to focus on eating!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@BandDmommy: No, but if she continues to "chew" then I can see sore nipple in the future

Size 2 diapers? I think we are going to move up after this stash
pomelo / 5660 posts
@FaithFertility: no chewing but it really hurts lately when she pulls on them
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@FaithFertility: Ugh I have too many size 1! I think I can exchange 1 box though... I think we'll be up to 2 by 4 mo. K is on the small side tho I weighed her and she's about 13 lbs plus change.
nectarine / 2053 posts
@FaithFertility: Micah drools like crazy and wants to chew on everything. He tries to eat his fist!
@MamaG: We will probably wait until closer to 6 months before starting solids. I have been researching it though and I think we are going to start with oatmeal instead of cereal orrrrrrr skip that and start with avocado. Idk yet!
nectarine / 2053 posts
@FaithFertility: We are about to move to size 2 after we finish with this box. We have tons of extra size 1's though so I may try to exchange them.
nectarine / 2053 posts
I also put a package of size 1's that we won't use in a baby shower gift as well.
pear / 1961 posts
@faithfertiity: we have been in size 2 for a bit. I think they were the shortest size last time. Sizes 3 and 4 lasted forever.
@banddmommy: none here but e is pretty tame
I'll do solids once she can sit, get things to her mouth, and seems interested. We did BLW last time and it was great. Messy but great!
pomegranate / 3973 posts
@Adira: aww, sorry he is sick again!
@FaithFertility: We've been in 2 for awhile and will be moving up to 3's as soon as I'm out!
DH was just talking this morning about giving him cereal already, he's four months tomorrow, I say at least another month but DH thinks it will help him sleep, I'm doubtful.
