@MrsF: I was just thinking recently that I haven't seen K put her fingers in her mouth recently. But then today... boom thumb in the mouth. She's definitely working on her upper teeth though. She's chewing like mad and her gums are swollen. She's not really attached to her pacifier either. This is new territory for us.

@MamaG: poor kiddo
J goes through phases where he loves the pacifier and then the next week wants nothing to do with it! Was your older daughter very attached to the paci?

@Adira: that is exciting!!!! Ryan will be 7 months on the 9th. So we have a few weeks to go :).

@MrsF: T is 3 but only 36 inches and 27 lb! The Radian is an awesome seat and converts to a booster so I will just end up getting another for Ryan. I ended up not loving the Britax seat though it's light weight and easy to install. The question is do I get 2 Radians?
The bucket seat is a pain but honestly I never thought the convertible was more convenient. You then have to carry the baby everywhere and there's nowhere to put them down if you're out! With 2 I have no desire to change that up!

@winniebee: I agree, K and her seat are heavy but there is a convenience to the bucket. We kept C in hers until a year. I'd like to try for the same again.

Is anyone else's LO crawling? D crawls forward 2 paces and then back 4. She's mastered moving positions, belly to sitting, crawling to sitting and sitting to standing. Only issue is you can't leave her for a second because girl is speedy! I can't believe she's so mobile. Her brother was still working on sitting unassisted at her age. I guess the difference might be D cooked for 37 weeks and B was here at 34 weeks.

@BandDmommy: k will crawl if motivated. She gets to where she wants through a variety of movement. Lately she just wants to stand. She can easily pull up to her knees. She's also really unstable if you hold her to stand. We've also got the oldest babies in the bunch. But D is clearly ahead for her age. It will be interesting to see what she does in daycare.

Well we did crib mid-last night, I woke to her pulling up the side of pnp after 3 additional wakes and kt was only 12 a.m.
Why won't she sleep anymore?
So I nursed her in rocker and into crib she went she slept until 6 a.m.
She woke a few times whimpering but went back to sleep!!!!!
What is with this whimpering, is that teeth still?

@winniebee: yeah - I think maybe it was a little easier to take them in and out of the convertible than leaving the bucket in the car. With a second kid I'm often glad he's in the bucket though - more hands-free options. I still struggle at the grocery store though. Toddler in the front of the cart and infant bucket filling up the rest of the cart and almost no room for groceries!

@FaithFertility: Sorry things didn't go better I think that at this age they're getting more and more aware of cause and effect. If I'm crying - someone will come and get me (and they might even feed me) !

@BandDmommy: K is crawling too. She's not up on her knees and is on her stomach, but can get where she wants to go. Funny enough she still doesn't really sit, but it's more because when you set her down sitting she leans forward to start crawling.

@MrsF: Oh the grocery! We often shop as a family, so we end up with either two carts or a cart and the stroller. We are odd, my DH does most of our cooking so he's instrumental to the shopping process.
nectarine / 2210 posts
@MamaG: DH is the one her who does most of the shopping and cooking. I've yet to actually go grocery shopping by myself with K but he does it weekly,

@Miss Ariel: I feel like because she's so little it's easier for her to be so mobile. Small babies unite!!!

@MamaG: I went to the grocery store by myself this morning! Heaven! (I will admit that I sat in the parking lot for a little while afterwards just to get a few minutes of peace and quiet )

@MrsF: Yes, I truly think that is what it is! She is a smart cookie! I am at a mommy low these days!
Mad about bottle/sippy situation
Getting her down for a nap is insane
and now sleep is for the birds
Sorry if i sound like a downer today..
I just feel like I don't know what to do since I can't bring myself to me her CIO for a period of time!
Thanks for listening!

@BandDmommy: She is working on it, she pushed up to her knees and hands a few times yesterday!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@winniebee: Yesterday might have been a fluke. Only one 20 minute nap today so far...
But we gave Logan yogurt today and he had no reaction!!!!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@MrsF: I wear Ryan in the bjorn and Tyler sits in the seat. It's a sweaty affair!
@Adira: that's great no reaction!!
@BandDmommy: Ryan's inchworming around and rolling around the room. No actual crawling yet. I suspect we have another month as he isn't 7 months for another week and a half.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@FaithFertility: vent away! sleep is tough here too. Ryan just cat naps and barely sleep 10 hours at night. It's not enough but I can't make him sleep so what can I do?
eggplant / 11861 posts
@winniebee: I agree, I feel the same, I guess I feel like I'm hurting her because I'm giving her crutches for sleep because of my faults, if that make senese!

@FaithFertility: I'm sorry you're having so many challenges lately It's so hard to be the mom sometimes. In a little while we'll be looking back and hardly remembering each thing, but at the moment it's so overwhelming and all-encompassing. I get so stressed out about finding a solution for each thing, but sometimes there's just nothing to do to get past something except wait
honeydew / 7283 posts
@winniebee: Maybe I should try wearing J at the store. The carrier is hit or miss with him. I worry about him screaming and strapped to me. We'll see!

@MrsF: Thank you, this mommy stuff is hard!
I know she is a happy, healthy girl and all our struggles are to help her grow!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@FaithFertility: so much guilt!!! Yeah I haven't done much to help Ryan's naps lately. I wasn't nursing or rocking to sleep but then got lazy so have been nursing. I think with Ty at daycamp this week I need to get that to stop again.

@BandDmommy: M isn't crawling yet, but when he's on his tummy, he gets up on all fours & rocks or kinda throws himself around to get whatever he has his mind set to (toys, my pump, diaper caddy, his bouncer, etc). He loves sitting on the floor in between my legs playing.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@BandDmommy: K will crawl too if she's trying to get something! She does a slow army crawl where her head sways from side to side with her arms haha! I can't believe D is SO mobile already!
@FaithFertility: Hugs! We all have those moments! Don't despair! She is def going through a lot (as always). According to my Wonder Weeks app K is entering a gray fussy period too so we're just riding it out. For G, maybe she's still in leap 5... And throw in teething too. Hang in there! And don't feel bad; we still co-sleep, and I still nurse/rock K to sleep!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@winniebee: K never ever sleeps a full 12 hrs either! Some days she doesn't even make 10 either... Such light sleep needs they have!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@AngelicOne: Haha you described it perfectly!! K will throw herself around, half crawl, half roll, do whatever works to get to what she wants lol!
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
We seem to be back to a normal bedtime.. 8:30-ish and she doesn't wake up middle of the night for long (horray!). But she wakes up probably 4-6 times a night now and it's hard to soothe her back (and nursing doesn't always work!).

@FaithFertility: How did the crib go last night? I hope it was an easier night for all of you.
