thanks @greenthumb and @bluestriped bee! you're so funny, i hope you enjoy your moscato!
@FliegepilzHut: i just had an appointment today. not much to report, since it's only my day 4 of stims. they saw a couple of measurable follicles (10-12mm i think?) but i have another appt on friday where they will hopefully be able to give me more info. i'm nervous & anxious about this appointment bc this is the appointment last time around where i got some really devastating news. please keep your fingers crossed for me!

@GreenThumb: It's actually fun making them! Though I don't really have a lot to say, lol.
@mama2em: Fingers and toes and everything else crossed!
@bluestriped bee: I'm glad everything showed up on time and no OHSS. We don't have the PIO shots here in Australia, only suppositories ... joy! Although I'd prefer the pessary to another shot in the bum!

I'm so disappointed.
Scan was today. Follies doing ok. Everything was so positive.... until we got the news that my progesterone is too high already. Whatever we get, we'll have to do a freeze all.
I'm so freaking upset. I desperately wanted a fresh transfer. We know how all my frozen embryos have worked in the past - I don't want to go there again. Plus, it means no transfer this year... and more waiting.
I am just so done with the waiting, omg. SO DONE.
This year really does hate me.

@jaguar: I'm so sorry. What does that mean, exactly? I don't think I ever had a progesterone level with my fresh cycle...
pomegranate / 3764 posts
@FliegepilzHut: My clinic has a policy that if progesterone gets >5, it's a freeze all. Pregnancy rates apparently drop to next to nothing if progesterone is too high before trigger shot.

@jaguar: Sorry for the disappointing news I never had heard that about progesterone before. I understand why you are so dissapointed.. When would your fet be? January?
pomegranate / 3764 posts
@Mrs.Pinecone316: Yeah, I think so. It's just so ridiculous. Other than being pregnant for those few months, this ENTIRE year has been waiting around for a chance. I'm so over it!

@jaguar: FX that your stims work beautifully and that you have a PERFECT transfer and pregnancy in a few short months!

@jaguar: Oh I'm SO sorry! I am so sad reading this. I have never had my progesterone checked during IVF, so I am not sure what my levels have been. Not that anyone would want to go by my levels given my track record! I know how your FET's have gone, but this might be different. My RE has been reading more and more positive studies about FETs vs. fresh cycles.
@mama2em: I am so hopeful for you this cycle!
I had my D&C yesterday, so I am hoping they will schedule my follow-up soon to talk about my FET. I am thinking probably January/February? We'll see what they say.

@momazon: The PIO is daily I think and the delestrogen is once every 3 days. I will be doing my injections (DH is can't take needles himself) and I've never done IM before. I think I can do IM injections in my thigh.
Cool. Thanks. I should check out walmart for the estrace and the medrol is prednisone. I can probably get that from my local pharmacy, too.
hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts
@FliegepilzHut: Oh, yeah? I didn't realize both of them were IM. Luckily one is only once every 3 days. I wasn't quite sure the abbrevations on my prescription were.

@jaguar: I'm so sorry about your elevated progesterone. I don't know anything about it, either. Have you had this before? I'm so sorry that you couldn't do a fresh and have to do FET with the history you've had. Hugs!
On the positive side, looks like there might be 4 of us doing an FET in January! You, me @Sunshine1810: and I think PurplePumps. Fingers crossed we'll be having Sept/ Oct EDD!!! Just in time for Halloween and cute newborn costumes.
kiwi / 613 posts
@bluestriped bee: OMG I've never done the IM on myself! You're brave! Good luck!
Also, you'll want to double-check prednisone vs. prednisolone. I think Medrol is prednisolone not prednisone? Prednisone I could've gotten cheaply locally at WalMart but the prednisolone I take had to come from a compounding pharmacy and was more expensive. I don't think you can sub them for one another, but I'm not 100% positive.

@bluestriped bee: Oooh that is exciting that we might all be together! I am hoping for an anniversary baby for DH and I. Our anniversary is Oct. 8th!

@jaguar: Sorry to hear that. My very first cycle was cancelled on day 4 of stims due to high progesterone. It was a 3 I believe. My RE cancels if it is too high. So I didn't even get to finish the cycle and had to wait to start over again. I'm glad that you can at least continue the cycle!! Sorry you have to do a frozen transfer, though.
Fingers crossed for all of you on your upcoming cycles!!!!! Looks like a bunch of you will be all doing both fresh and frozen around the same time!!!

@leanne82: Did you delete your post by accident? I flagged your post so Mr.Bee can un-delete it, if that what happened. You don't get that many deletes, so I don't want you to use one if you didn't mean to.

@Sunshine1810: My birthday is Oct 7th! October is a great month!

@momazon: Oh, good point about the medrol. I asked WinFertiliy to add it to my order and it increased my quote by $8. I got all of my meds (Delestrogen, Estrace, Progesterone in Oil, Medrol) for $138! I was afraid I would have to spend another $3000 on meds again. My bank account is thankful for it. Hehe.

@jaguar: i'm so sorry to hear that, yet more waiting and i totally feel your disappointment. my clinic also checks my progesterone and towards the end of my last cycle, i remember worrying about it on my already long list of things to worry about. i have my fingers crossed for you though that you have an excellent retrieval and you have a lot to work with! hopefully the time will go by fast for you!
i just got back from my appointment and i don't have good news either. i'm responding like last time- they only saw 4 measurable follicles and maybe a couple more behind that. i'm on day 6, so i'm hoping it'll pick up, but i'm not feeling very hopeful. they're gonna get back to me with my hormone levels today but my re was saying the blood test will indicate whether i should move forward with a retrieval or not. i'm not as disappointed as last time..i'm more angry and pissed off at my body and i feel like i'm constantly hitting a brick wall. i just want this to be over too..i'm so sick of this and i just can't understand why my body is not responding the way it should. hopefully i'll come back with better news today, but i'm feeling pretty bad right now. i hate this so much.

@Sunshine1810: We may be FET buddies next year. xx
@FliegepilzHut: Perfect doesn't seem to go well with us. We're barely scraping by.
@bluestriped bee: I'm happy to have company next year at least! I feel so alone right now, man. It's just crap. I've never had elevated progesterone before. I really do think it's residual levels left over from the chemical pregnancy. Friday/Monday's test will tell, I guess. But the nurse pretty much guaranteed a freeze all.
@Jenn23: I don't know what'll happen. If it shoots up, there is still a possibility of cancelling. Luckily my E2 levels are mild, so they're not worried yet.
@mama2em: I'm sorry you've had disappointing news too. It's still early though, so I'll hold out hope for a few more follicles catching up.

@bluestriped bee: that's OK but thank you! I wanted to share a video I made but now that I think about it, I'd prefer to link to it instead of have it embed here in case I want to make it private in the future.
So I made a video about where we are now in my ivf cycle number 2. The link is on my Instagram profile which is here: http://Instagram.com/ivf_hope
Hope that's OK!
Would love to find a cycle buddy and hear your feedback

@leanne82: I totally understand the wanting some privacy during an IVF cycle... it's definitely an up/down thing. I'm also blogging & vlogging about our cycle, so it will be nice to follow along!
hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts
@jaguar: So sorry you feel alone. You got all of us thinking of you. Oh, you never had elevated progesterone before? Yeah, that's odd and frustrating.
@mama2em: Hope you see some more follicles next time! Question for you... Are you happy with your RE? Are they answering your questions? Do you have a diagnosis? If you aren't happy, maybe consider getting a second opinion. I left my last clinic have 3 IUIs. I wasn't too happy with nurse and some of their policies. I'm so glad I made the switch to another clinics.
@leanne82: ah, ok. Yeah, I understand the privacy issue, too. I requested to follow you on IG. I like to know who is following me on IG so I won't say my whole IG name, but I'll give you part of it so you can figure out who I am on IG. It's T********107.

@jaguar: Just watched your video. Great video. It's so cool being able to 'meet' you!
Oh, Purgeon (sp?) looks exactly like my follistim pen. I guess same medication but different name in different county.
Also, I noticed you recapped with that smaller (inner) shield. I would be afraid of sticking myself while trying to recap. When I do it, I would recap with the outer needle shield. You must have very steady hands.
Can't wait to see the rest of your videos!
pomegranate / 3764 posts
@bluestriped bee: I've used Puregon loads, I guess I'm just used to recapping the wee lid!
So just to REALLY mess with my head, I sent the clinic a message yesterday asking about the numbers, since I hadn't heard. Got this:
Hi Aly, Yesterday E2 was 686 and P4 was 3.6. Sorry you didn't get a message. WFC
So it's dropped again. Surely that means it must have been residual progesterone levels from the chemical preg?
pomegranate / 3533 posts
@jaguar: That sounds very likely. FX that you get a fresh transfer after all! Do your docs start supplementing progesterone just after ER? That's what mine does
pomegranate / 3764 posts
@FliegepilzHut: Yep! I will be on crinone + pessaries after a transfer, if we get to go ahead. And then we WANT it to rise! lol
kiwi / 613 posts
@mama2em: Do you go back in again Sunday? I only had a few measurable on Day 6 this time but had 8 on Day 8, so maybe you will get a good surprise? I think we might be on the same protocol (Microdose Lupron Flare Protocol?), and I'm stimming much slower than normal this time. Hopefully slow and steady will win the race for you? Fingers crossed!
pomegranate / 3533 posts
Hey ladies... I missed an Estrace dose today. I'll still get 2 of 3 in. Does anyone know if this is a big deal? Also, I'm finishing my first week of pre-FET hormones...is it pretty normal to have quite a lot of EWCM??? Seems like a good thing, I guess.
pomegranate / 3533 posts
@mama2em: I'm so sorry. I really hope you get some good news soon!
pomegranate / 3764 posts
Slow and steady while stimming can be a great thing!
@FliegepilzHut: I've never used Estrace before - what does it do? I hope it's a good thing! xx
pomegranate / 3533 posts
@jaguar: It's the Estrogen supplement to help "grow" my lining! I don't think missing one dose is going to hurt...on the other hand, how would I know???
kiwi / 613 posts
@FliegepilzHut: I think you should be fine! Did you take the missed dose as soon as you remembered, or just waited till the next dose time? I'm normally on 2 Estrace a day after IVF retrievals, so hopefully 2 is sufficient daily for keeping up the lining you've built. When I did a FET they had me on the DelEst injections, not Estrace, so I'm not sure if the dosage would've been upped.
@jaguar: Glad to hear the situation is looking more possible for a fresh transfer, since you don't want to wait the extra time for the FET!
persimmon / 1316 posts
@FliegepilzHut: I'm sure it is fine! I never did FET meds before but I would think a lot of EWCM would be a great thing since your body is gearing up for pregnancy. My fresh cycle was the same.
