@jaguar: what an emotional roller coaster. I'm sorry. Thinking of you.

Nervous these aren't getting darker. I would be like 14dpo at this point. I'm thinking its a chemical.

@GreenThumb: posted on the other thread too but I see clear progression there. Is your beta tomorrow? With my first, my 14 dpo line wasn't nearly as dark as the test line. But having had two chemicals before, I sympathize with the anxiety at this stage. I think it's very positive that there is definitely a darkening trend.
@jaguar: thinking of you. Sending strength down under.

@raintreebee: You think so? Thank you! Tomorrow is the beta, so we'll know something more then!

@jaguar: I'm thinking of you. Hugs!
@GreenThumb: I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a good beta tomorrow!

@GreenThumb: My 12dp6dt FRER wasn't much darker than your 9day above. Fingers still crossed for you!!!
@jaguar: This is so hard. But it is still early. Can you just wait a few days and retest?
pear / 1531 posts
@GreenThumb: Yes I do! Please keep us updated.
Does anyone recall their e2 levels at trigger? I am on day 8 of stims and my e2 was only 550 today. The doc thought I had only two more days of stimming left so that seems like a low number compared to previous cycles. I have a lot of follicles, but only a few big ones.

@raintreebee: Mine was about 1500 both times - 16 and 9 eggs retrieved that were 16mm or higher.
grapefruit / 4703 posts
@raintreebee: mine was about 750 the first time and I got 16 eggs. I was not successful with that cycle though, so take it with a grain of salt. Remember also that your E2 level will double every 48 hours. Fingers crossed!

@GreenThumb: Good luck tomorrow!
@raintreebee: I just triggered tonight at 6,000 I'm nervous about OHSS !!!

Sorry loves, didn't mean to disappear.
Big HUGE fat negative on everything now. Whatever was there has fizzled out, unfortunately.
We stop progesterone at 15dpo (Thurs) per doc request, so that's that. Back to square one.

@MrsYellowJacket: Did you doc have any recommendations for you? I was put on carbergoline and given strict orders about toms of fluids and salty foods and I'm sure that helped keep my OHSS on the mild side. I hope it doesn't happen to you! Let me know if you have any questions!

@jaguar: I'm so sorry...
@MrsYellowJacket: Eek! FX that your docs are on the ball...and that you don't get OHSS!!! (BTW-- are you stateside? I think the units elsewhere are different!)
apricot / 378 posts
@GreenThumb: @FliegepilzHut: I'm in the U.S. ! They are trying to be proactive. I was on the high salt, protein, and fluid in take for 3 weeks to prepare for this. I also only had half of the trigger (5000 units) to try and minimize the risk... We'll see. Do yall have any other advice to try and help??
pomegranate / 3533 posts
@MrsYellowJacket: No advice...I have heard that the meds can help tremendously if you do get OHSS, though. Hooray for being proactive! FX for a great retrieval tomorrow!!!

@MrsYellowJacket: I was at risk for OHSS during my second IVF cycle - drink lots of sports drinks (Gatorade) all this week and next, and I'd ask your Dr about Cabergoline/Dostinex if you're comfortable. I really think that it helped me avoid OHSS.

@MrsYellowJacket: Good luck! I really, really hope you avoid OHSS.
@jaguar: I'm so, so sorry. I remember reading your TTC story on weddingbee before I even started TTC. When a year later I found myself dealing with my first failed IVF cycle, I went back and read your posts because it helped to find examples of people dealing with that failure. I am sure you must feel so lonely right now since your journey to #2 seems unbelievably hard. I wish there was something I could do or say.

Well, 8.8 is my lucky number, so a chemical it is. Unfortunately since it is over 5, I still have to repeat on Wednesday and keep taking meds. We have one little sad embryo left in WI, but we are not going to use it since this will be 3 failed FETs in a row. I don't even know what to think about doing another fresh cycle.

@GreenThumb: @jaguar: I'm so very sorry. This is just so rough. Why does it always have to be such a struggle? I hope the future brings you both what you wish, no matter how you get there. Sending you all my best wishes.

@FliegepilzHut: @MrsYellowJacket: @jaguar: @momazon: @brady80: Thanks for your thoughts. I know you understand how crappy this all is. Just when I was starting to get a little hopeful, this happens. I'm not exactly surprised given the quality of the embryos (I mean, whose doc is suggesting putting 3 in, right?!), but I thought maybe we had a shot when the positives started… feeling especially thankful for this little lady!

@GreenThumb: I'm so sorry. I've had a couple chemicals, and they really suck. So so sorry.

@raintreebee: Thank you! How are you doing? Do you have another check today?

@Mrs. Jacks: Thank you… somehow there is always the hope that something good will happen until it doesn't. And then I have to look for the good in other places.
You and your family are often in my thoughts and I hope all is well!

@jaguar: Thank you for your latest blog post. You captured my feelings quite perfectly with these words.

@GreenThumb: I've had a hell of a year, but with all the bad there are those amazing things that keep us going. Hopefully that's the way it is for you too. Don't give up... If you feel like there's a little soul out there for you, then keep searching for it. Mine is laying on my left arm right now
Theo is doing so much better. We're doing all our follow up now and I've been working with the hospital to try and improve things for adoptive families (they're in denial that things are so bad).

@GreenThumb: What a precious picture!! I'm doing alright - recovering from the egg retrieval we had this morning! Things seem to be progressing well and avoiding OHSS...... We will see!

@GreenThumb: I did have another check today. Lots of follies (about 16 total), but my e2 level is only at around 1000, which is about a day behind where they were in previous IVF cycles. Because of that, my doctor is having me stim for one more day. My three biggest follicles are between 18 and 19. I am a little worried I will lose those, but at some point I have to trust these people's judgment!

@GreenThumb: I'm so glad. That blog post has been many months in the making, and I just couldn't word it in a way that made sense, or sounded right. I hit publish and hoped it would reverberate with the people who could relate.
Love your pictures, and I feel you there - so many snuggles with my girl as we process this failure too.
What's next for you guys? x

We got our day 1 report - 23 retrieved, 18 matured and ICSI'd, 12 growing embryos! I feel so relieved to hear we have some growing
pear / 1531 posts
@MrsYellowJacket: that is wonderful news!! Congrats!! How are you feeling? Did you have to work today?
My e2 was 1000 yesterday and only 1350 today. My largest follicles are 20 mm so they are having me trigger tonight. Trying to tell myself it's okay. I triggered at 1788 during my successful ivf cycle, so that's not so far off, right?
