@Mrs. Pajamas: They found some mild endo and drilled my left ovary. The recovery hasn't been too bad. Now I'm on BC for #($@#)$&( 11 or so weeks until after my vacation in June to cycle again. Ughhhhhh... more. waiting.

@PurplePumps: "drilled" your ovary? ouch girl! Is that for real? So sorry about the waiting. It is the WORST. At least you have vacation to look forward to! Where to?

  3. PurplePumps

    pomegranate / 3809 posts

@Mrs. Pajamas: Yeah, haha. I could feel exactly where my left ovary is right now. No where exciting.... just FL. I'm trying to throw in a trip to Croatia in May now though.

    @PurplePumps: F'ing waiting. Uggghhhh.
But Croatia sounds amazing! My dads side is croatian (his mother) and it's definitely on my bucket list!!!

@PurplePumps: Hey, FL is warm and has COCKTAILS, right? And vacation means no work, so that equals exciting in my book. Yes to Croatia! We honeymooned there and it was amazing. Let me know if you want suggestions. Trip planning always help with a wait for me....

@skiierchck99: wow great numbers! Congrats on your transfer. How many days post transfer is beta?

  9. skiierchck99

@LibbyLou: Thanks! I still don't know if/how many made it to freeze...:-/ If they don't call by noon tomorrow I'm calling them! My beta is a week from Friday but I'll be at work when I find out so I think I may POAS that morning so I have some heads up if the news is negative.
@PurplePumps: Warm weather sounds amazing right now! We're still getting snow in MA...

  10. PurplePumps

    pomegranate / 3809 posts

@skiierchck99: hi! I'm in MA too! I was shocked when the sun came out today. I don't think its been out for a week straight... i was like wtf why is it so bright all of a sudden?! Lol. Where in MA are you? Which clinic do you go to?

  11. skiierchck99

    kiwi / 518 posts

@PurplePumps: I'm at Brigham. It can be a little disorganized because the whole institution is so big, so I've had to be on top of coordinating my own care a bit, but I like my doctor and I feel like I'm in good hands. How about you?

And yes...I am dying for some sun! Am thinking of taking a long weekend somewhere warm (SC?) if I ever get released from the clinic for more than a week!

  13. LibbyLou

    kiwi / 739 posts

@skiierchck99: good luck! My cautious warning I had a stark white negative day of beta and wasn't later called with opposite news. I know that's VERY rare to happen but I totally get wanting to know before the call.

Day 3 of stims. This part is so boring because nothing is really happening. I'll go in tomorrow for monitoring. I don't know why I feel optimistic this time. Haven't learned my lesson I suppose

@skiierchck99: How are you feeling? How many DPT are you? Was your embryo day 3 or 5?
How many made it to freeze?

  15. skiierchck99

    kiwi / 518 posts

    @LibbyLou: Thanks for the reminder!

@SweetiePie: I feel totally normal so of course I'm convinced it didn't work Day 5 transfer on Tuesday, and I found out yesterday that 11 made it to freeze! I'm pretty pumped - that's quite a few to go through before having to stim again! How are you feeling/ Are you sensitive to the stims?

  16. SweetiePie

    honeydew / 7463 posts

@skiierchck99: I'm a bad influence...but...I got a squinter on 4dp5dt Just sayin. Although mine was frozen transfer so I didn't have a trigger to test out.
I feel fine. I'm tired but I don't think it's related. Maybe it is because I'm mentally spent just thinking about this all the time. Lol. But physically I feel nothing so far.

  17. skiierchck99

    kiwi / 518 posts

@SweetiePie: Hahaha....I actually don't have any pregnancy tests in the house right now! Which makes it easier to not test haha. Hoping you have a good scan tomorrow!

You guys - this is the first post-stims monitoring appointment I've had that they said looked good!!!! He said not a lot of growth, which is expected this early, but lots of small follicles and nothing growing too fast. He said "everything looks perfect" and that's the first time I've heard this! Maybe the estrogen priming worked!?!? I know it's still early but usually they are saying "hmmmmm lets adjust meds" at this stage.

@Mrs. Pajamas: Flights booked! 2 weeks in Croatia! Any specific recommendations? So far the plan (which is very subject to change) is flying in to Dubrovnik, then gonna visit Kotor and Mostar with day trips, head up to Split, visit Hvar or Brac... head up to Plitvice stopping at Krka... head up to Pula, then Ljubljana and Lake Bled, an then back down to Zagreb to fly home. And I picked a super long lay 21 hour over so we're gonna get to spend a evening and morning in Amsterdam too!

Has anyone felt extreme exhaustion during stims? The last 3-4 days I've just felt so tired all day long. It's all I can really think of to be causing it.

  26. SweetiePie

    honeydew / 7463 posts

7 follies at this mornings ultrasound!!! That's more than twice what I've had in the past! I'm elated!
ETA: in the past they saw 2-3 and retrieved 6-8. I'm praying that since they see 7 maybe we can get 10-ish and then odds will finally be in my favor.
I finally feel that no matter the outcome I'll be at peace since I finally had a responsive cycle. And if it doesn't work then it's truly not in the cards and I'm OK with that.

@SweetiePie: That's so exciting! I hope the good news continues! When do you trigger?

I am dying to POAS, but I am forcing myself to wait till the morning of my blood test. I actually peed in a cup today but forced myself not to do it!

  30. SweetiePie

    honeydew / 7463 posts

@skiierchck99: Wow you have some serious self control! Good for you!!!
When they called with instructions this afternoon I asked for approximate trigger since I needed to be sure I had enough meds. She said most likely Saturday night OR Sunday if they really wanted to push it.
Im praying for a Saturday trigger for a Monday morning retrieval. My husband is Jewish and my MIL is hosting Passover Seder Monday afternoon and I'd LOVE to be able to skip it

I've been MIA from HB but I just had to post here.

Someone very close to me is a surrogate and they transferred one embryo but it was . But they decided to transfer 2 and my 'friend' is pregnant!!!

I'm so excited. Ok, this someone close to me is related to me. It will be freaking awesome to have this one relative go through a twin pregnancy like I did with my IVF twins. The IP (intended parents) apparently had IF, too. So it's such a great gift. I'm so happy for the IP, too. Brings back memories when we got our

The IP must be on cloud 9 wondering if they have a singleton or twins or more. Omg! I'm having da ja vu. (Spelling? Sorry, I'm sick and don't feel like googling the spelling.)

Things are still crazy after the big move, job and just life as a twin mom so I'm not sure when I'll be back to comment.

Wanna say hi to all of you. Some of you might not know me. Well, you know I'm always thinking of you all. Hope you are doing well! Well, as well as you can be in the IF world. Hugs!!

@bluestriped bee: Glad to see you back - very exciting for your friend and the IPs. Surrogacy is such an amazing gift. Oh, and I hear you on being away from HB for a bit. I had DD on Feb 12 (8 weeks early) and definitely haven't been posting as much, but certainly have still been reading and following everyone's adventures

@SweetiePie: excited for you to trigger! What was the last report re: follicles? Still looking better than previous cycles? Do you have any frozen tested embryos still?

  37. SweetiePie

    honeydew / 7463 posts

@Mrs. Pajamas: hi! My update was just yesterday so I'll know more when I go back in tomorrow.
Nothing frozen! So far everything we've tested has been abnormal. That's why this is our last ditch effort.

I definitely feel different this time. Actually more pain. My ovaries felt stabby this morning. Normally that would freak me out but since I didn't feel it in the failed cycles I'm hoping it's a good sign.

@SweetiePie: hoping for the best for you...was just thinking this morning of the small crew of us brave enough to go for ivf baby #2. It's suuuch a long road! Sorry you are in pain...that's gotta be a good excuse to skip mil's seder, right? 😉

Still 7 follies growing nicely. I can't believe it.
He said he's almost positive I'll trigger tomorrow night and retrieval Monday AM.
It's getting really hard to not get my hopes up. It's almost scarier now that I feel like I have a chance. The other cycles I was pretty much resigned to it not working so it wasn't as disappointing when it didn't.

@SweetiePie: Wishing you all the luck! And it sounds like you'll get to skip Seder

I just got my beta results this morning - 208! I'm (cautiously) excited and I hope it sticks!! Next beta Monday am.
