$630!

It was a screening panel for my upcoming IVF cycle. They wanted to make sure I didn't have HIV, HPV and other diseases. (Which I'm negative for.) They also looked at my FSH, estridiol, AMH and other hormones.

No coverage because I don't have IF coverage. I was going to call the insurance but the bill said that insurance was notified but insurance deemed it was a non-coverable expense. Crap! I actually looked at the bill and I'm in disbelief!

I've paid over $500 for IUIs and meds but never did I realize a blood work would cost that much.

I paid it out of the money saved up for IVF. Ugh!

This isn't a vent on healthcare because I'm super grateful that my insurance cover's DH's health ( I do have relatively good insurance), but sucks that IF treatments aren't covered.

Did any of you pay crazy amounts for 'simple' things like blood work/labs?

What sucks even more was that this was the requirement for my old RE's office. I don't think my new office needed it. Complete waste of money. Boo!
