Hi,
I'm planning on booking my 10 year anniversary trip later this year. We are looking to go somewhere with a beach, out of the country (US), and adult only.

How much time will you have? Bali? Thailand? Something crazy like French Polynesia?

@Littlebit7: Greece is on my wishlist. I'm pretty sure my husband will like it.
@Charm54: I've never heard of Azores before, but it is beautiful!
@lamariniere: About 7 days.

@FancyGem: ok, I probably wouldn't try to do anywhere in Asia in 7 days. Someone on HB planned a trip to the Amalfi coast awhile back. That sounded super romantic.

We had a great experience in Costa Rica last summer. The wildlife is insane, particularly near Manuel Antonio national park, and beaches to die for.
The Cinque Terre region in Italy is so romantic and more mellow than Amalfi. Monterosso al Mare has a nice big beach, but most of the towns have beautiful waterfronts of one kind or another.
Morocco is the next place on our list, mostly for culture, but they've got beautiful beaches, too, from what I hear.

@FancyGem: Exciting! The only place I've been to in the Caribbean is Roatan, Honduras. The island was beautiful and we had a fabulous, low-key time. But I don't know how safe Honduras is these days; we went 8ish years ago. I'm sure you'll get plenty of suggestions from others for the Caribbean as it seems so many people around here have been.

Bucuti & Tara resort in Aruba! Super luxurious, child free and not super far from the US. We were going to go there for our baby moon before Zika ruined it. I think it’s safe now!

@FancyGem: My brother shoots travel videos for a living. He's been to almost every vacation destination that exists, including every country/region listed so far in this thread. He says hands down, the most beautiful beaches in the world are in the Maldives. Better than Bora Bora or Morea, better than the Caribbean, better than Greece.
I know that's a long trip, but seems like kind of a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

If you are considering Mexico at all, my husband and I went to The Resort at Pedregal for our honeymoon (then it was called Capella Pedregal). It was fantastic, super relaxing and the town nearby was adorable, walkabale and full of fabulous food.

Not sure where you are, but I have friends who went to Bermuda for the husband's 40th birthday and raved about it.

We really loved the island of Nevis, if you’re looking in the Caribbean. I liked Greece, but I liked the Turkish coast even better. Maybe a cruise of both?

@FancyGem: we stayed in santorini very recently. The hotel was called The Vasiclicos. It’s spendy, but we both agreed it was even more incredible than our honeymoon nearly ten years ago in Fiji. The chef there was incredible. ’d also check out Naxos or sifnos (both have a less touristy vibe). Santorini can be touristy, especially oia and fira; we stayed near imerovigli which is a tiny town between the two which was much less so. The flight to Athens is pretty long tho, and I’d just skip Athens.
