Oh that's wonderful! I haven't been following the story closely but I have kept half an ear on it, but enough to know the gist.

Lung transplants are extremely risky. I hope for the best possible outcome, but knowing the odds, it's super scary!
"Nearly 80 percent of lung transplant patients survive the first year, but only about half survive five years, according to the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute."

@Mrs. Jacks: Those are scary odds but if it came down to it, could she get another transplant?
They've said that her transplant went very well and she had no complications. Her prognosis is good and she's currently recovering.
