My son's first birthday party is coming up, and I need some way to entertain the older kids at the party. There will be four three-year-olds, a six-year-old, and maybe a couple of 8-year-olds. Ideas? I thought maybe face-painting, but the 8-year-olds are boys, so they probably won't be into that. And the younger kids might be nervous. I know my almost three-year-old probably wouldn't sit still and let someone paint her face. But they also do balloon animals. She might like that.

Also, the forecast is for rain the day of the party, so a bounce castle or whatever probably won't work.

Any ideas?
