I made this dress for DD thinking she was going to wear it for their birthday party. But then we moved the venue of the party to the park.
What do you ladies think, is it a bit too much for a park party?

That dress is super cute! I think you can modify it and make it friendlier for the outdoors. What if you remove the bottom ruffle layer and make matching bloomers.

Such a cute dress!!! I think it is totally ok for the guest of honor to be a little more dressed up.

I like it! As long as it's washable and she can play in it, I think it's fine.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: That's a wonderful idea. But I can't bring myself to take it apart, so I might actually make a shorter version and maybe sell this piece on etsy.

@CakeLady: that's what I was thinking too, but DH thinks she needs to be "free". Left to him, she and her brother would be in onesies, lol.

I say roll with it! The birthday girl can wear whatever she wants!

I'd go with it! It's super cute AND it's her party! My DD is obsessed with frou-frou dresses and worn fancier just to the mall. lol

That dress is adorable and totally bday girl appropriate! I'd throw on some leggings underneath and let her have at it!

That is sooo cute! You are crazy talented! This reminds me, I owe you a pic ofAlice in her Easter dress. Everyone thought the dress was adorable.
I would just keep DD in this, even at the park. I would do something leggings underneath so she can move around easily. What will you have DS wear?

@twodoghouse: Thank you so much, I actually saw a picture of Alice here and she looked absolutely adorable. She would definitely get a lot of wear out of it.
I am thinking of getting a polo style shirt set in mint or coral for DS. I just have to find something that would complement his sister.
If you ever need something made for Alice, don't hesitate to let me know, I'll be happy to oblige as long as you agree to leave me a great review
