1st kiss/ make out nostalgia

This is so random but i was thinking about this this morning.

Do you ever feel nostalgic for those early (younger) days of dating or flirting and that eager anticipation yet total surprise of kissing a guy (or girl) for the first time - or, that super hot make out session? I'm not talking about sex, just that excitement in that make out.

Ugh, that was the best.

My dh and I have been together 10 years, he's awesome, but I do sometimes wish those early steamy make outs could be recreated. It's just different 10 years of knowing each other inside & out, one baby and a house later,. Ya know?!

My first kiss was a nightmare.
It's like having a soaking wet plunger to the face and over the nose.

DH and I dated as kids 13 years ago. Kissing him was so hot thrn and still is now! I'm a lucky gal.

I def get what you mean! The anticipation, the sparks, etc...

But I also really enjoy the deep love & familiarity that comes with kissing DH now Esp knowing I don't have to be done up, dressed up, anything!

@hellobeeboston: I know what you mean! I miss those crazy "will he kiss me?" first / early kiss butterflies, and the steamy make out sessions. We're both under a LOT of work and family stress right now, so our sex life consists of TTC BD and that's it.

I was just thinking about that the other day! We need to work on that...

Yes! I totally know what you mean. Obviously marriage has it's own awesome things, but not the first kiss anticipation. And sometimes I want to just make out without DH trying to rush along to sex.

Well, I only ever had one first kiss! It was with my DH and it was awful - I was inexperienced since it was my first kiss and he was more experienced and I was unprepared for it to happen in that moment. DH tells me if he hadn't loved me so much it would have scared him off.

Thankfully I got it together and figured it out quickly enough after we started getting lots of make out practice in. And I agree with @Smurfette: that those days of just being together and making out for hours were just so fun. I definitely miss that. These days it seems more scheduled and less spontaneous and definitely not just making out. And it has to be with kiddos, but that definitely doesn't make it nearly as fun!

My first kiss was horrible! bumped teeth. Sloppy. Ugh.

I so INCREDIBLY miss that anticipation though! And that first makeout session! Sigh.

Yes! I totally miss the excitement. Even with DH I sometimes think back to the days when seeing his name on my phone literally knocked the breath out of me & I couldn't wait to go hang out with him after work. I still enjoy being with him, I just don't get the same butterflies or anticipation.

@wonderstruck: yes! I tell my DH all the time, "why can't we just make out & have that be it?" Sometimes that's all I want.

Yes! I think it's more the anticipation & excitement! So great to have those experiences!!? But yeah, "dating" isn't necessarily something I miss at all, I love being married, it's just those butterflies!!! So fun.

And yeah, my first kiss wasnt a great kiss in the grand scheme, but it was pretty magical and I remember it clearly AND documented it in an old diary!!!

Oh I miss it for sure, the anticipation of it happening, the jitters and butterflies. DH and I don't have that anymore, which I'm fine with, we have a nice comfortable & familiar relationship that I love, but there is nothing like the first initial jitters!

My first kiss was part of a "kissing game" so not romantic, but my first make out with someone I liked (dated), you just don't forget that feeling. The excitement of the spark.

I def miss it that beginning, nerve-wracking, butterflies in your stomach first dates and makeout sessions!!! Going on 8+ years here.... it's fun to reminisce?

Yes! I know what you mean. The first time DH and I kissed, we made out for 3 hours! It was amazing. We definitely don't do that anymore!

I totally don't remember my first kiss... fail. I do remember the anticipation and butterflies that went along with kissing someone new, or just making out on a couch in someones basement for an hour. Such a fun rush! Lol. DH and I have been together for 9 years now, and I have definitely had moments where I'm a little sad that I won't ever have those first kiss butterflies again. Good thing my husband is so damn wonderful
