At what age do you transitioned to 1 nap and how did you know it was time to do it

DD2 is 9m and is in the process. Some days she takes two naps and some days only one. She's kinda doing it on her own? Just kinda letting her dictate.

Around a year old. I knew it was time, because DS was taking really short morning naps, and then he was overtired by his late afternoon nap. Neither nap was doing much for him. Once we switched to one nap a day, he was much more rested and happy.

We made this transition later, DS needed his two naps til about 18 months. By then, his awake time in the morning was lasting longer and longer. He napped better with 1 consolidated nap at that age.
