I am finally accepting that C (14 months) is moving to one nap. Her morning nap, starting at 9:30, was getting nice and long, and most days she was skipping the afternoon nap. So, I did my reading and set about pushing the morning nap to start later, hopefully making it longer and ending later in the day so she wasn't awake from 11 to 7:30 (yikes).

It seems like the later I push it, the shorter it's getting. I'm basically pushing it by about 15 minutes a day (she went down at 9:50, slept 2.5 ours. 10, slept 2 hours. 10:15, slept only 1.5 hours).

I realize this is a transition but I'm wondering if other people experienced this? Am I pushing them back too quickly-- those were three days in a row. Basically I have been keeping her up until she seems like she really needs to sleep, and she falls asleep right away.

Anyone else? I've got a long afternoon ahead of me!
