Hellobee Boards

All I can say is that it will only get harder if you don't figure out a solution before baby comes. I only say this because I'm going through this now and it is soooo hard. It makes me dread bedtime. My DD #1 (2.5 years old) needs someone to stay in her room until she falls asleep and it usually ends up being a 1-2 hour process. My DD #2 is only 5 months old and is a horrible sleeper, so I can't just put her in her crib and have her fall asleep because she won't. Bedtime is a struggle every night and it's worse because I have to take DD#2 into DD#1's room with me and they end up waking each other up several times in the process. It's ok on nights my DH is home to help but most nights, he has to work past the girls' bedtime. I've tried putting DD #2 to sleep earlier before DD #1 but that doesn't work because the older one will come into the room to talk or ask a question and this wakes up the baby.

My toddler still uses a pacifier for naps and bedtime. We've delayed pacifier weaning because we just moved and it's the only thing that remotely helps her fall asleep at the moment.

The baby refuses the pacifier and all bottles, so right now, I'm the only one who can put her to bed, which makes it even harder.
