M will be 1 in July and I'm already starting to plan his 1st birthday party! Anyone care to share their plans?

Theme? Little Blue Truck (M's favorite book) and sort of a farm/Americana theme too since it's right after the 4th of July.
Any fun special touches? Time capsule (people will write notes and we'll provide the items). Hoping to be able to make mini cherry pies too! -

Yup!! She'll be one on 8/27. We're inviting family and a few friends. It'll be a backyard BBQ pool party and it'll be whale themed. I've already picked up a few things on clearance at Michaels!
I'll be baking her smash cake. Waffling between making cupcakes for guests or getting a Wegmans sheet cake. -

N will be one July 15th and I'm planning a coral and gold party! I'm not sure if it'll just be a family party (which is still 25 people) or friends too.
I'll be making cupcakes with coral frosting and gold bows. We're also taking photos with her siblings too.

I'm trying so hard to start planning but wrapping my head around having a 1 year old is just insane!
Are you planning on having one? definitely! Set to have it 7/11, the day after her birthday.
Big or small? Small- we don't have friends with kids so it'll be mostly family and a few friends.
Theme? I think I'm pretty set on Minnie Mouse- E fell pretty hard for her when we went to Disney.
Any fun special touches? I'm baking her birthday cake and a mini smash cake for sure. Everything else is up in the air. -

Are you planning on having one? yup! it's on the last saturday of august and i already got a planner, venue, photobooth and photographer.
Big or small? i guess medium people-wise, but big money-wise since i got the stuff done above lol.
Theme? waiting for planner to come up with some.

@regberadaisy: lol i know sounds bad now that i say it out loud. photobooth was like 65% off on groupon and i definitely want nice pictures and i don't want to stress out about planning with 3 young kids. =T

@NorCalWayfarer: it's so crazy!! This year happened in a blink. And absolutely go to Disney as soon as you can. She's obviously not going to remember everything but it was so so much fun and she loved every minute!

We are going to keep his birthday party small - immediate family only. I've been pinning monster theme! So many easy monster crafts with the googly eyes!
