2014 Wedding Season

We've already gotten 3 Save-the-Dates!

So weird, because I haven't been to a wedding (besides my own) in...a decade!

Unfortunately, it's 3 weddings over 4 weeks from May-June, and only one of them is local. We'll probably have to fly for the other two....which are a week apart...in different states...I'm stressed just thinking about it! And of course the only one we could possibly consider missing is the one that's local (and is D's work-BFF).

Of the other two, one is my brother's, and the other is D's best man's sister. He's known her most of his life, is very close with the family, she traveled for our wedding AND made our wedding cupcakes. And knowing her it'll be an awesomely fun wedding, too!

Stressed over travel but excited! I love weddings!

We have one wedding this year so far and I hope it stays that way!! It's not until Thanksgiving fortunately!

we have two weddings so far, two upcoming engagements (not sure if wedding will be in 2014 or not), etc.

I'm in a wedding in April and then we have Dh's cousin's wedding the weekend after. Otherwise I think those are the only two (fingers crossed!)

So far we have an invite to one in March...it's a 5hr drive away. There might be another one in July, but that will most likely be child free, so not sure if we'll be able to make it.

We've got two coming up. One in March, other one is in July. The July one is down the street from where we live.

The local one is child-free. My brother's will have at least 10 other kids, and most of my family, including my father and stepmother, have not met E (and I have several nephews and one niece that I haven't met yet) so he's expected to be there. For the third one E's name was specifically on the STD, but I'm toying with the idea of asking my ILs to take him for the weekend and just me and D go...

I know of two so far. We might try to go to the one that's just a couple hours away, if my sister is serious about wanting to babysit and we're ready to leave them for the evening at that point (they'll be 4-6 weeks old?). The other one is in Kansas when our babies should be about 6 months old. It's my cousin's wedding so we are really hoping that we can make it.

One of my close friends just got engaged. Her wedding will either be at the end of this year or early 2015. I think that's the only one, though! Most of my other friends are already married.

One of my older cousins is getting married late June in Cali. I'm not close to him at all so I'm not even sure if I'll be invited.

We have two that we know of. Both in our home town about 3 hours away. One is like May 3rd or something.. our babe will be about 6 weeks old and is not invited. So not sure if we will be able to go or not, we will have to see! The other is mid June and DH is a groomsman and my mom will watch the baby and we will go.

I got one in March, 1 in April, both local thank goodness. I have 2 in August that are both destination! One is in CA, but since she flew all the way to NY to mine, I gotta go to hers. The other one will be in Mexico; since we're already going to Mexico in 2 months for vacation, we probably will decline.

My little brother is getting married in April in Mexico and then he's having his reception Memorial day weekend 3 hours away. Need to get back to exercising to get ready for the beach!

i'm a wedding photographer and the last time i attended a wedding as a guest only was april 2012. DH went to 2 weddings this year, but I was shooting weddings. i don't know if i'll have any as guests this year!

So far we have 3 - one in May that I'm in (in Mexico!!!!), one an hour away in June, and one 4 hours away in November.

None none NONE!!!

Last summer was 3
Summer 2012 was 11
Summer 2011 was 7 plus ours

So the thought of none is amaaaaaazing! We are at a stage where everyone that is married is starting families and everyone single is very single and remaining single cousins are too young (young 20's) for wedding's yet!

We've been going to 4-5 weddings every year. Last year we went to 4 weddings. So far we've been invited to 1 wedding but it's early in the year so we'll see. Love going to weddings!

We're going to a wedding in NY in July! I'm so excited because we're going to spend a couple days in NYC before. DH has never been there and I haven't been in a decade.

Only 1 so far and there is a bit of family drama surrounding the whole relationship/marriage.

We are traveling out of state for that wedding, and stopping in Philly on the way back to take a day and take LO to the Sesame Street amusement park! (I’m much more excited about that than attending the wedding).

One of our good-friend-couples just broke up; they had recently exchanged rings, bought property together and there was talk about a wedding this year. I hope they get back together

we have 1 in March that is local and 1 in September about an hour or two away that my DH is in but it is 9 days after my EDD so... we'll see how that all plays out. I have a feeling I will not be attending that one, and he might just be making an appearance.

We had crazy back to back weddings like that a few summers ago! It was exhausting but SO much fun.

I just found out my cousin got engaged over Christmas, so I'm sure there will be a wedding in the works for 2014 or 2015!

DH's sister is getting married in another state (2 hr flight) and the very next weekend my brother is getting married somewhat locally (1.5 hr drive). I'm MOH in my brother's wedding...and I'll be 7 months pregnant. Its gonna be crazy, but awesome!

Just one so far...it's in 3 weeks. Technically it's a local wedding, but with traffic we will have drive 3 hours round trip.

Now up to 4! (although the 4th will probably be in October so we can take a breather!) I'm not super excited about this last one, but D will almost certainly be a groomsman (as in, has already been asked but hasn't responded yet).

I think I need a new dress. Maybe two. One for the summer weddings and a different one for the fall

I LOVE attending weddings but we aren't invited to many. I didn't maintain relationships with any of my high school friends, and I can count on one hand all my cousins and most are significantly younger than me. I didn't do the traditional college route either so I don't have friends from college.. (yeah basically I don't know anyone

We got invites for 2 so far; 1 March 1 April, both local and I am helping out in one of them so that's that.

Got STD for a west coast wedding in Aug (I am in NY). We def have to go to that because she came all the way to ours! But we haven't decided if we want to spend any more time vacationing or just make it a quick trip (we already have separate vacation plans).

There will be a wedding in Cacun in Aug, but we're already going to Cacun in March so I don't think we'll be going to that, even though we would've really loved to!

Two so far, and I'm so excited for both of them! One is across the country (but in my hometown) and the other is a 3hr drive, so not too bad.

@Mrs. Pen: Hah, same here! My cousin is already married, I didn't really keep in touch with HS/college friends, and my sisters are 21 and single. No weddings around here for a while!

The long-term partnered friends I have can't get legally married (I'm in TX) but I can hope!

I'm kind of bummed about my lack of wedding invites! I've only been to 2 weddings, and both were when I was 7 or 8!

Other than weddings I'm shooting, I think I only have 1 wedding this year! We have to travel, sort of, but just back home so it is only 2 hrs and we will stay with my parents. I am assuming it will be kid friendly because it is a pretty casual event (park, chipotle catering, etc) and my cousin/his fiancé have a 4 month old baby. If not though my husband will probably just hang back at my parents house to watch the LO (all our family will be at the wedding and we don't have anyone else in the area that we know) and I'll go to the wedding (I definitely have to go because I'm photo-ing it, but I"m pumped to go regardless!)

we had one in jan (local) and one in may (2 hour drive). i don't forsee us having any others in 2014.
