This is funny.. But I do have a hard time telling my identical twin friends/acquaintances apart. I fake it until I I figure it out. Every single time.

@MrsMcD: I have identical twin aunts and cousins and I always have to fake it too! I just don't see them often enough to tell them apart!

@Mrs. Blue: yeah! I can totally see this for my boys when they grow up. They fight each other now but I feel bad for anyone who tries to get in the middle or pick on one of them. You take one, you get them both!! They're only allowed to beat in each other lol.

Hmm. I know a pair of twin sisters since high school. I wasn't particularly close to them. I do like them personally. And they seem to be pretty close.
I was in the older sister's wedding. The younger sister made a speech and in her speech, she said "you know, I was always referred to as the prettier one..." It was her older sister's WEDDING. I was like, huh? Did she really say that? And the older sister always love to post their children's pictures on facebook and ask us to distinguish who is who. So obviously the "which one are you" and "which one of you is the prettier one" doesn't really bother them.
