I like to buy bulk clothing sales off eBay for my son. He's edging out of 18 months, but I'm not sure if I need 24 month or 2T!
He has a very long torso and is over 30 inches. Anyone know which is best or what the difference even is between the two?

2T is supposed to be slimmer for kids who are out of diapers.

I also think 2t is longer. We have both 24 month and 2t pants and 24 month fit better in length for the moment

I think 2t pants would be quite long if he's just over 30 in. My son is probably 34 inches with a longer torso and 18-24 pants (old navy, gap, Gymboree) is perfect lengthwise.

I heard that it was to do with room for a diaper or not. But I use them interchangeably with no issue. My daughter is 15 months, 33 inches (but gets her height in the legs) and 24lbs for reference. 2T is maybe sometime a little longer, but I really don't see much difference.
