Today I randomly pulled up a video of LO in a swing at about 8 months old and showed it to LO. There was absolutely nothing remarkable about the two minute video. Just a video I shared privately with the grandparents. To my surprise google+ told me the video had 270 views! I heard my FIL re-watches videos a lot but I had no idea. I don't even want to see the counts on other videos. I think it would kind of freak me out. I'm hoping the 270 count is a glitch.

My mom looks at some videos of LO over and over. And she shares it with her besties. I love my guy but can't look at a video that many times!! And she's always demanding new ones. I love how much she's into him! She lives in another continent so it's her way of keeping up.

I wonder if it counts every time the video plays rather than actually clicking on it? I know when I open Google+ that it automatically plays videos.

@Tanjowen: Maybe it does count the automatic plays. I'm going to tell myself that. I don't like the idea that anyone is watching a video 200 times.
I don't think they can share the videos and pictures. Well, maybe they can but they certainly haven't figured it out. Both sets of grandparents ask me to email specific pictures and videos when they want to share.

Keep in mind that every time someone refreshes that page, it counts as a "view", even if they do not watch the whole thing. If your parents, say, had it open in a tab in Chrome and they save their tabs, so every time they open up their computer the video opens that can add up to a lot of views. Plus everyone else who has watched it, plus when you uploaded it and watched it a few times, ect. 270 views doesn't seem that crazy to me, especially since it sounds like the video has been up for a while.
That said, what are your privacy settings on this video? I'm not very familiar with Google+, but do the videos you upload there somehow also end up on YouTube? If so it's possible a few people have stumbled on it. If it did happen, I doubt they were very interested and even watched it all the way through. I'd check your privacy settings.

My grandmother watches a video I sent her of LO EVERY SINGLE DAY. Sometimes twice. We live 10 hours away and I know she just loves to get to see him. I don't think 270 is that many.
