Hello Bees,
As of yesterday I'm currently unemployed 
I was working as a nanny and planning on going up until my baby was born and to go back and continue after with my baby. The lady I was working for quit her job a few weeks back and thought she had another job lined up and it didn't work out. So now, here I am, 30 weeks along, totally showing and on the search for a full time job. I'm pretty convinced everyone will just look at me and say no Sigh....of course when everything is going great you have to get thrown that stupid curveball....

I am so sorry. The same thing happened to me but I was able to hold off on the job search until after my LO was born. Best of luck in your job hunt!

Uh that stinks I'm sorry!! Can you guys make it work for you to just take some extra time off and not go back to work until after the baby?

@aMohror: oh no! Can you apply for unemployment? Might be a great way to financially take you all the way until you're ready to go back to work after the baby is born.

Thank you ladies for the encouragement! So far today I have applied for 7 jobs so I'm crossing my fingers! I went in a dropped off one resume and I have never felt so awkward with this bump up until walking in there! They gave me a tour of the place and I'm sure after I left they were all asking each other...is she PREGNANT? lol Oh well....

if you're interested in another childcare position, there are definitely people that need summer positions when the kids are out of school!
try sittercity.com, that's where I got my position. I've also heard of care.com, but I'm not sure how that site works, as I've never personally used it. Can you put your feelers out in the neighborhood through family/friends that you're available to sit? even just date nights for now?

Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear this bad news. Sending you lots of luck in your job hunt! As a nanny, I would hope that families seeking a nanny would be more compassionate and understanding of your situation. Can your previous employer recommend you to anyone?
